Yes I am well aware of who the live mascots are and I am telling you, they don't do much for me....

There are a lot of things that I wouldn't travel 2,000 miles to see, but that doesn't make them un-awesome.

I've always wanted us to use Irish Wolfhounds in connection with gameday. Before they emasculated the Irish Guard, I thought it would be awesome to have the guardsmen walk them around campus. Imagine a 7 foot tall dude walking a dog the size of a horse which was bred for wolf hunting. How intimidating would that be?

Next thing you know they'll allow women in the Guard! (Actually, there was a female in the Irish Guard at the turn of the millenium)

I'm not sure they needed to change anything about the Irish Guard, they seemed fine. If there were disciplinary issues they could have structured the group better and put someone in charge of monitoring them I guess, but I don't think they needed to axe everyone and change the policies so radically.

The irish guard had issues off the field that basically forced the University's hand. If you heard some of the stuff that went on you would not be surprised why they did what they did.

Eh I had several friends in the guard. Issues exaggerated. Fortunately Gawker Media didn't get hold of them.

Sounds like it involved a lot of drinking, hazing, lewd behavior, ,and a perceived "elitist attitude" that was actually just a bunch of cool dudes refusing to let nerds in and only recruiting other cool dudes.

I just booked hotel for $655 about 4 miles away. No tix and no idea what the hell ima do! Anyone have suggestions? By that I mean for tickets? We plan on trying to grab last minute tix from scalps but is that a for sure?

Friday night we will be at Linebacker. If you want to buy my wife a shot I would appreciate it. She doesn't take them but I do. We will also tailgate ourselves but where can we roll too for a better time than us and the neighbors? They may be legit but no guarantee...

Gist: Who is fuvking things up Texas weekend??
