Very disappointed to see so many orange shirts inside the stadium. Especially throughout the home side.

Yup, I called this one awhile back. Texas fans have been buying up tickets like hotcakes. $300/seat seemed like a good deal to a lot of them.

That's infuriating. A game like this, almost all of the tickets went to season ticket holders and donor alumni. If tickets go on sale to the general public and visitors scoop them up, fine. But when it's lottery tickets going to the highest bidder, people should be ashamed. Meanwhile, those of us who would have loved tickets to actually USE them are frozen out.

Went shopping with the family for a bit to pass the time.........

Living in Michigan and I only spotted 1 person wearing UofM shirt. More wearing ND shirts. And heard several non ND fans talking about our game tonight.

Yup. Would have loved to scoop some tickets, but couldn't justify the price. Even tailgating, scalped tickets were too rich.

I'm looking for okwara n procise to have big games. Hoping with the insistence of keeping Rochelle at de, he slimmed down a little to help his sideline movement. Or simply having gilmore helps that. To many times the play easily went around him.

I'm nervous, and cautiously optimistic. I think Texas will be better than some expect. But, we have all the pieces.

Bring the pain tonight boys! LET'S GO!!!

That's what I want, a physical team that is prepared to hit somebody and feel good about it. DL and OL can dominate this game if they want to, who wants it more. Hopefully it's our guys.

Finally caught up with the rest of you, it's time for a ND smashing!

Is anyone else completely, irrationally not worried about Malik in the slightest?

I heard that it was going to be 35%-40% Texas fans. No ND fan is paying $300+ on the secondary market for this game... it's Texas fans making a pilgrimage.

The issue isn't the ND fans declining to shell out $300 that's the problem. It's the alumni who HAD the tickets at face value and ordered them through the lottery for the sole purpose of flipping them for a profit.

I know I drunkenly posted this three times this morning, but I'm drinking to cure my hangover, and I want to convey the message again.

That's not what happens. No one who is donating hundreds (or thousands) of dollars a year put in for tickets strictly to try to flip them for a couple hundred bucks.

What happens -- and why I usually have free tickets to any game I want to attend -- is that alumni/season ticket holders always get more tickets than they will be able to use. And then they distribute them to friends or re-sell them if they can't make the game. In this case, the people willing to pay market value on the secondary market were Texas fans.

This does not mean that the quantity of tickets on the secondary market was intentionally inflated during the lottery process for the purpose of resale.

I'm terrified about this game. Defense is a great equalizer, as we've seen today in other games. Texas is going to have a good defense. I hope the offense is ready to go, and BVG has a scheme that works.
