I'm submitting for Texas tix in the lottery - If I get them I will be tempted to make the trip. Good for my pocketbook that my odds are probably 1000:1 that I get any.

If anyone wants to bet I would do it now. That line is going to get to 10 I bet.

Is that before or after D Kizer is out on academic suspension for failing that stats final?

Sad part is the only part of this that needed italics is the part directly tied to any one player... the safer bet than the UT game will probably be betting on some BS occurring that hurts the football team.

Cool, Are you one of the thousands of others? If so, I'll see you at the game.

Don't have tix in hand, but am familiar with UT gameday scene. Driving down Sunday morning from Dallas, and will stay Sunday night in far north Austin. Hoping to find tix gameday, but I know UT is chomping for the rematch, so tix will be tough.

We're never good enough to blow teams out, I wouldn't touch a 10 pt line.

Someone insert the 31-0 Michigan game (where they out gained us in yardage).

Well that's why I said get your money in now. The betting public is going to be putting money on ND.

Some HIGH praise from Mod and posters at the 247 Texas site regarding ND and spring game/players

They are loaded at nearly every position on both sides of the ball. They will likely be the most talented team Texas plays this season.

The offensive line that some thought would be possibly tough to replace actually looks like it'll be more than fine. The defensive front, however, may be where the Irish have lost the most and where they still have work to do.

Notre Dame needs someone to fill the void of wide receiver Will Fuller as a downfield threat. Torii Hunter Jr. looks like he is going to be that guy.

Notre Dame has a great punter in Tyler Newsome...he was really booming those punts

I hope kizer is the guy because Zaire's legs can hurt us much more than kizers arm.

AWESOME RESPONSE BY ANOTHER POSTER Kizer ran for 525 yards and 10 TD's last year.Either way, who they play at QB doesn't really matter. They won't have to do much. We return arguably the weakest DL in the Big 12, and their OL is enormous. Provided they can functionally take a snap from center and hand it to the dude behind him, they'll be alright.

Jeez Koon... you are in the Texas thread. Why insert Micigan? Were you in Antarctica last September?

Six of their ten wins last year were by ten points or more.

For some reason I think this game will come down till the end. Hopefully with the Irish on top.

I'm not really sure if there will be more than two teams that will be able to hold the Notre Dame offense under 28 points, and I don't see Texas being one of them.

I see this game being pretty close (less than a 10 point lead) through about the 2-3 quarters and then Notre Dame pulls away in the 4th quarter and wins 34-17 or something like that.

It sounds like they're starting a true freshman center over Jarron Jones, who, when healthy, is better than Sheldon Day. I don't see that going well for the Longhorns.

True, and healthy. Both matter for Jarron.
True. If the staff got Florida State Jarron Jones every game, they'd be ecstatic. Jarron would also hear his name called within the top 20 picks too. Hopefully Cage will be able to spell him enough that Jones can give 100% every snap.

If Jarron Jones isn't fully dialed in for the week 1 matchup against one of the most iconic schoolsin the country on Sunday night primetime on the road, then he has some serious issues

I'm not concerned about him in this game. He plays well during big games. It's Nevada, Navy, NC St where he worries me.
