Maybe but he had depth. He had the OL and he had the backs as far back as 2010. It wasn't in his play style to do that though. .

Speaking of running, two things :

  • Yes the running backs were great; but this may be the most oppressive college offensive line I have seen in a while. They were extraordinary; remember all the people that acknowledged that this group could pass block, but the jury wasn't in on their ability to run block? It is in and the vote is unanimous!
  • The whole conversation about committed to run is superfluous. The running success can be best attributed to the addition of Mike Sanford to the staff, along with Harry, of course see above.

(And yes, apparently Harry does a pretty good job of teaching run blocking.)
