Man could Jimmy sling it at ND. Its a shame we could never put any sort of defense together while he was here.

Would love to see Kiser air out MSU this weekend.

ADD IT TO THE BOARD!

This should really be its own thread. Keep in mind, this is a five letter name, folks. A phone number takes up more space in your head.

Yeah, why can't we get this right? It's Kaiser, guys, quit screwing it up!

The word Kaiser is derived from Julius Caesar's name and was the title used for the head of the Roman Empire. "Kaiser" was used by the heads of the Holy Roman Empire.

Alea iacta est

Kizer is Kaiser of the Holy Notre Dame Empire.

He's not the Kiser of anything ... unless Hammond's writing the article.

Ugh! That fake FG.

Yup, you know Dantonio is going to try and pull something out of his bag of tricks again. The sad part is he gets so much credit for the gutsy play, but it was only successful because the refs missed the fact the play clock hit 0, as well as the fact Bell basically held/blocked two players past the LOS while the pass was in the air (Same thing that nullified our winning TD against FSU). They say we were caught with our pants down, but the defenders actually scouted it out correctly and couldn't defend because of Bell's block/hold on the two defenders left the receiver open. ESPN did an interview with Dantonio this week where he diagrammed the play, looking all smug about it. Hope we push their shit in tomorrow.

If the defense just plays average I believe this game is all ours for the taking.

Robert Blanton blowing up a designed double-reverse-pass in 2011 will always be a fond memory of mine.

That's when ND said, "now the bullsh*t stops" and proceeded to whoop MSU's ass the next three years.

Hate these clowns - seen us lose way to many to these skirt wearing punks. Could we please just curb stomp these over-ranked green goobers for a change?

Yeah, but I think we could still struggle offensively here. We've got a lot of young receivers, and not quite as much speed on the outside...although we have CJ in the slot. It may be hard for these youngsters to beat the press coverage, or at least struggle to get open in time. Our OL will really need to block well to give Kizer and the receivers time. That, or we have to find ways to get guys the ball in space however we can...I have no confidence that we'll be able to run the ball successfully against the Spartans with regularity. I expect them to try and shut the run down first and force Kizer to pass against the tight coverage like in 2013.

We really need to win this game at home, under the lights, in front of all those big time recruits and their families and to keep this season alive. I have a feeling we will come out sharp after 2 games to learn from an see what we have. I think Kizer puts up lots of points and our defense finally gets some pressure in the QB. We need a lot of guys to step up starting with Nick Coleman.

Pretty vanilla, no crazy sound bytes  Cool to see the '66 team all there though, hopefully they can inspire these guys for tomorrow night. Michigan State is one of those rivals that always plays us hard, I hope the younger guys know that. Only the Seniors have faced the Spartans in their careers.

Notice Jay Hayes still in the walking boot?? Can only think his snap count is still going to be very limited

I did notice the boot, but the face was obscured at the time and I wasn't about to interrupt the feed. I don't have high confidence in the DL whether he plays a bunch or not at all.

Pep rally was ok, never been to one in Joyce before but it held decent noise.

What's everyone's feel on O'Connor? I've read/heard from at least 5 people that cover MSU he has not a bad but very bad tendency to stare down his 1st read. It would be different if one said it but every single one mentioned it on 5 different stories/podcasts

Definitely wasn't Hayes in the boot. 100% sure on that. Good thing too cuz this is the type of game we need him in.

Their entire team sucks besides McDowell and as long as B1G refs don't get in the way we're going to embarass them in prime time.

I believe that means the 1st read will end up with 200+ combined yards & 3 TDs because that's how BVG's defense rolls.

It's so complex and exotic, he doesn't take away your first or second read. He takes away your 3rd and 4th reads and don't give a sh!t.

Ha, nobody takes away a team's 3rd option like Brian VanGorder! Reminds me of Joe Schmidt being the "best pre-snap linebacker in the business"
