Hey guys, I might miss a large part of the game because of a mandatory seminar. Does CBS have the game streaming on their website and/or do they have a replay of the game?

Hi!!

Tomorrow, me and a group of Notre Dame fans in Spain, we will fly to Dublin to attend the game. This is a great opportunity for us because it may be our only chance to see a live match of ND in our lives. I know that Kelly does not like much this trip, but thanks to the administration of ND for this game in Dublin.

We follow the games every week, we stay up late (very late), we suffer (and we curse T.R. too) but we also belive that the Notre Dame time is coming.

We will cheer for Notre Dame as loud as we can

GO IRISH!!!

Hey guys, been away from IE for a little while and I just read about cierre's suspension. Do any of you think this will really effect us this game? To tell you the turth I really hate games like this. If we win, we just beat navy nothing the world gets too excited about if we lose then its an embarassment that has the college football world laughing at us. Im not saying we are going to lsoe I know im a bit of a pessimist but I just got really nervous about this game today and reading that hasnt helped me. Add that in with the fact that around the time of the first game I always have nightmares about us losing lol

Yes, it will. Regardless of the talent behind him, ND loses a 1,000 yd rusher, a good pair of hands out of the backfield, and a solid blitz protector.

In addition to Golson being a rookie starter, he doesn't have a veteran with Wood's credentials backing him up. One more variable for new QB to deal with.

As long as Everett doesn't play like Demetrius he should be OK despite the loss of Wood. It just makes it harder.

I hate a loss of Wood. Usually happens when I have too much whiskey.

I'm not in this boat with ya, homie.

GAIII is VERY capable and Riddick has more experience than even Cierre. These guys aren't freshman that are out of their element. These guys are gamers.

Everett is a completely different QB than Demetruis and will be asked to run a real offense instead of that pathetic excuse for a dickrod offense Chuck asked Demetrius to run. That was embarrassing.

We don't need Cierre to beat either Navy or Purdue. This will give GAIII and Theo valuable reps that will pay dividends somewhere down the line this season.

You don't respond to what's written, do you? But rather to what you think you read.

1) I wrote "regardless of the talent behind him".

Wood has 336 career carries, over 1800 yds, 5.1 ypa, and 12 TDs Rushing. He also has 47 receptions, 360 yds, 7.7 ypc, and 3 TDs receiving. Wood had 5 cames last year with 20 or more carries with 3, 100 yd games, with a career high of 191 yds. He's a proven Bell Cow.

Riddick has 54 career carries, 250 yds, 4.7 ypc, ZERO TDs rushing. He has 84 catches, 893 yds, 10.6 ypc, 6 TDs primarily as a WR, NOT as a RB. Riddick had 14 carries last year and 11 the year before. The most carries he's ever had in a game is 9 and the most yds, 51. Both against WSU.

2) I didn't say Everett was Demetrius, did I?
I said, he'd be OK if he didn't play LIKE him. Before preseason camp, Everett's knock was ball security and judgement (Kelly's description not mine) which was what plagued Jones against GT.

Wood Stats: NCAA DIVISION I FOOTBALL

Riddick Stats: NCAA DIVISION I FOOTBALL

I believe ND wins regardless of QB or RB but they won't be as good without Wood which addresses the question which was asked.

Riddick has potential but to say he has more experience than Wood at RB is patently absurd. Even Tom Hammond wouldn't make that gaffe.

I have all the confidence in the world Riddick and GA3. Instead of having 3 very solid running backs against Navy, we will have 2.

GA3 showed his speed and potential in the return game last year and in the spring game. I honestly think GA3 could explode against Navy, especially with our offensive line blocking for him. When I say explode I mean 150+ yards and a touchdown or two.

With Riddick, he is probably our best receiving running back. I think he could go for 90+ yards and a touchdown against Navy.

We will be just fine without Wood for the Navy and Purdue game

Now I have heard everything! How dare you? WHERE WOULD YOU COME UP WITH SOMETHING LIKE THAT? HOW COULD YOU?

Of course Tom Hammond would make a gaffe like that!

The only thing that bothers me about having Cierre out is goalline/short yardage runs. Neither GA or Theo are bruisers (not that Cierre is, either, but he's more of a between the tackles guy than either of the other 2 are).

Other than that, I don't think we miss a beat as I don't expect Navy to have much of a pass rush.

He's not cleared for Saturday, though.

Even with injury, I really don't think we don't need him Saturday. We have GAIII, Theo, Mahone, etc. Not to mention, we have a mobile QB. For as tough as our schedule is, it actually sets up nicely for Cierre to miss the first two games.

Mark it... Cierre will have a sick game come MSU.

I'd rather have Wood than not, but I saw enough out of Theo at the end of last year and the Blue/Gold game to think he can get tough yards.

He ran much harder after Gray got hurt.
