Unsure how credible this is

Your "unsureness" is well placed

""The first casualty of war is truth."

Always true.

It is very difficult to figure out PRECISELY what happened yesterday and today.

Figuring out tomorrow on a macro or micro basis is a fool's errand.

I think Vlad has already gone full "fuck it" "if I can't win I will take my football and go home."

But is it the nuclear football?. Near the end, life did not matter to Hitler and Goebbels. It seems that Putin is there.

Is there enough power in China
clear, willful minds in Russia (Stauffenberg, anybody)

to stop Vlad from hitting the nuclear football?

I have no clue, really. As you, I remain "unsure."

That’s a group that should all be looking for new employment.
Yeah but they are duly elected representatives of their districts.

This is not a germ free laboratory.

Democracy is messy, and always has been.

And in 2022 the system is even messier, voters more litmusttesty

and good people stay home.

Look at Brian Sandoval the great Republican Governor of Nevada.

He went off the grid accepting a sinecure as President of Nevada Reno.

China: We love you, Vlad, but not that much.

Rogue, China is very, very slick. And if "inscrutable" is profiling, then I plead guilty.

They do just enough to keep bad Vlad on the string.

And they do just enough to distance themselves from Russia to make Western minds wonder........

A more cynical mind can say that they are, right now, the PUSHERMAN for Russia, discounting enough financial crack to keep Russia buzzed,
but ready to off, narc, and snitch on Russia.

Remember

for the Chinese it is easy

CHINA FIRST

Everybody else tied for last, including Russia.

With the actions of Russia to date, they would be wise to stay out of this.
I admire your grasp of fantasy.

Using "Belarus" and "wise" in the same sentence. Brillian! Until this afternoon I had understood neither that you were a creative writer, nor how deft your skills are!

Think that’s the guy who killed an Isis fighter at over 3000 meters…one of if not the longest confirmed kills.
Yeah, well how do I know that's real and that he's really there? What aren't the lamestream media telling us?

Don’t know man, I was just answer of a question from the tweet. maybe do some research, or fly to the Ukraine to confirm, that might be your best bet to really know.

Fly there? Do we know if the Ukraine is actually REAL?

How old were you in 2003? Anyone who remembers the run up to our invasion of Iraq shouldn't be teasing others for skepticism toward Western media, especially when it comes to justifying a war.

He can't be better than our sniper who dropped a round down the scope and through the eye of a North Vietnamese sniper who was targeting him.

Not sure who this is. Is he pretty good?
Need his height and weight, arm length, 40 time, vertical and broad jump results, plus to see his film. What's his competition actually like as well? What have Loy and Sinclair said about him? Have IE members gone on rants about Driskell's take on him yet?

I think a Canadian has a record for the longest confirmed sniper kill. Close to two miles i think. But the equipment and training now is a lot different i would think?

Loy silent CB’d him to Ukraine but Ej Holland thinks that Putin is making a serious NIL play for him.

I have a friend next door to Ukraine in Romania that works for IJM (although his forte is human slavery and trafficking), but he's going to be sending some links to legit places to send money for humanitarian aid. I'll share once he does.
Bump.

So I never got a good answer from my friend. Some of us have been sending him venmo's, and he, in turn, has been withdrawing the money to spend on his own for supplies for refugees that they are helping at the border. It would obviously be weird of me to try and set up venmo payments from some of y'all to him.

But if anybody is looking for a place to send money, I sent some here. And I think most on here would know of and agree that they do great work. It's the Knights of Columbus. They have set up a Ukraine Solidarity Fund. 100% of the donations here go to war refugees and those displaced. They have received some national media exposure about the work they are doing.

Join us today in supporting Ukraine Solidarity Fund

This is an incredibly ignorant question but - so they took out the ignite contraption, the rest of the bomb - is it ok to move once the piece has been taken out? Are they out of the woods?
In general, yes. Typically, the explosive must be very stable regardless of temperature, jostling, humidity, being moved, storage conditions, and etc. In fact, you should be able to drop a bomb or other explosive several feet onto concrete without it exploding. Only a detonator or fuse should be able to cause it to explode under most reasonable circumstances. Once they remove the fuse or detonator, it's pretty much safe to move without worry.

I'm FB friends with a woman from Kiev whose whole world has been turned upside down by all this. She and her mom & grandmother fled to Poland the day after it all started and are safe there, but she had to be hospitalized for a few days because she had Covid. What a rough week. Her house in Kiev seems to be OK, but there's been shelling and bombing in her neighborhood, and she's pretty sure her small clothing store has been destroyed. Her Dad & brother are still there, but she's still trying to find out about several friends and how they're doing. Less than a month ago she was returning from a vacation to the Seychelles, had a successful business, and life was good. Now she's a war refugee. She spends half her day on FB crying and wishing death on Putin. Crazy times.

As Americans, we've never really faced the horrors of war in our own backyard, at least not in the past 155 years. You watch videos from all this, listen to the stories, and even talk with a person or two that you know who's in the middle of it, and it's still hard to wrap your head around just how brutal and scary it is. It's not getting killed that's so scary. It's worrying about your wife or kids, wondering how you're going to feed them in the middle of this or get them medical care if they get hurt. It's knowing your business or job is gone. It's a loss of safety and security. It's the destruction of your stability and way of life, of all you thought was reliable and safe and permanent.

Since the US achieved independence, the only people who have faced anything resembling what's happening over there were people who (right or wrong) tried to secede.

Oddly enough, my buddy's parents are from Ukraine, Kharkov and Odessa. They hate Putin and hope Ukraine pulls it off but agree with him more or less that Russia and Ukraine belong together in one way or another based on history.

They are Jewish for what it's worth. God's Chosen could easily have a unique perspective from the Slavs.
