I agree with you guys. I think Kelly's meltdown that day was the first clue as to just how good he thought the team could actually be. I remember he was very confident heading into that 2011 season, almost with the "ain't worried 'bout nothin' " attitude... and then they inexplicably sh*t the bed in the first game of the season.

I think he was just as flabbergasted as we all were at how mentally weak parts of that squad were, especially since he was around them all the time. He knew he had something special on his hands... and then lost his composure when bizzaro ND began.

I didn't have a problem with his meltdown, but here's the deal on BK's meltdown. Sure other coaches do it all the time, but how often do you see them actually change colors like a chameleon? Plus he kept it going for quite a while. That's why it got so much play then and now.
