Or C) you get off his rod

I'm on his 'rod' because I agree with Jack Swarbrick and Brian Kelly that it's good to have him come to ND to pay the piper?

I'll get off his rod and try to pull our coach and AD off, too. Have a neg rep.

You didn't really neg rep him, did you? If so, that's lame as hell. You're my guy, so I'm just telling you straight.

@NDFBEquipment, has Rick left the Gug yet? I want to come back and hang out. Would rather not run into him and act excited to see him.

This is absolutely hilarious. Says so much in one simple, little tweet.

Atta boy, Goody.

He got publicity, a behind-the-scenes campus tour, new friends, and meaningful work. I fear we just rewarded Reilly's bad behavior.

Yes, I did. Because it's near blasphemy that I'm getting dogged on for sharing the same feelings on this matter that the head coach, the AD, and whoever else made the call to welcome him to ND did. Would you (speaking generally) have the stones to call out BK and Jack and tell them to shove it for allowing Rick Riley come hangout with the team? Hell no. And if you do, tweet at BK or write him a letter about how he's wrong.

With due respect, I wouldn't say "shove it" but I would give my opinion.

I also think the "knob" comment to you was inappropriate.

LMFAO! You're so cute.

To say the least...

you kind of left out the rest of the sentence...just saying.

I guess more than one person needs to look up the meaning of the word blasphemy..

Really? The point is you probably say you back Brian Kelly and the AD 100% on their decisions, but by saying I'm all over RR's rod because I think it's a good situation for ND (meaning exposure, the players like it, etc) and ND obviously feels that way too, you're just looking for an argument. I'm not pro-Riley (again, the only article I've EVER read of his was the anti-ND one), but I'm pro-the situation and for the decision that Notre Dame made. You're obviously not OK with BK/Jack's decision. Fine, have that opinion.

This thread is getting reminiscent of that scene in the first LOTR movie where they're having the meeting on how to destroy the One Ring... and everyone agrees Sauron is the common enemy... yet the meeting devolves into a big fight amongst everyone as they argue the proper course of action.

The real question is who is Frodo that will destroy Reilly once and for all?

Riddick will take the ring to Mordor, though he does not know the way.

I like BK. Loved the hire at the time, even more so now. Jack has been a helluva AD. Doesn't mean I have to agree with everything they do. As for you- you were singing Reilly's praises because your roomie said he was a good writer lol. That pretty much tells me all I need to know about your credentials here...

You seriously asking who Frodo is? It's Tommy Rees, duh. I mean he was the guy who played in the movies anyway.

Somebody put up a side by side comparison of the two, please.

I now have to go bath in acid for engaging in a discussion about a dwarf from a kid's book on a football message board.

Hobbit, dude. Hobbit.

Wait. I just feel for that, didn't I??
