Was at FYF last week so I couldn't start one but who gets the game ball for Purdue.

Tommy Rees: 3-8 for 55yds. Entered the game in the end and led ND to the game winning drive.

Zeke Motta: 9 tkls, stepped up with injuries and was a coach on the field for all the young guys.

Stephon Tuitt: 4 tkls, 2 sacks, 2 QB hurries. When KLM went down, Tuitt stepped up and made huge plays down the stretch, especially in the redzone.

Louis Nix: 4 tkls, 1.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups. Nix had two big breakups in critical situation. Was dominant in the middle.

EG was in line to be clear cut winner, just tightened up a bit, trying to be mistake free...

I'm going Tommy because of the bull crap welcome when he stepped on the field (no matter who directed at) for getting them down the field for 3, and for the awesome interview at the end of the game!

Nix was a force plugging up the middle. His impact won't be as obvious by the stats, but he beasted today.

Ill give my game ball to Everett Golson. He had a great game and was our only offense.

Tuitt was freaking crazy today. He backed up his comments so glad to see him playing hard this year.

Tuitt and Nix masked problems in our secondary and injuries.

If the game ball were to go to the player with the biggest play in the game...it would be John Goodman. Just when i thought he had completely disappeared he made a great catch when Tommy was oblivious to the playclock and fact that we had no time outs. If he doesn't make that play best case scenario for us would've been overtime with banged up team and a lousy kicker.

When he lobbed that up, In my head I was saying "go out of bounds" because I thought it was a pick for sure. Huge sigh of reliefe when Goodman came down with it.

Hard to pick one but I'll go with Tuitt. Without him and Nix, there would have been no drive to make.

I would not want to have to make that decision. I felt like the entire team stepped up & played with all they had. Each of the guys made mistakes, but each player came back & made a good/great play. Most of the time one or two people stand out, but today it felt like to me ND football stepped up & stood out.

Golson should have been an option. He is my pick for the game ball.

Tough call. Despite the fumble, I would have to go with Golson. You're talking about the kid's 2nd start ever and he was asked to do a lot this game with the run game shut down. I think he stepped up. Did he have a perfect game? No, of course not, but I think he performed well against a tough defense.

I ended up voting for Tommy. While he was in for just one drive he had to endure the boos from the fans and still set us up with a game winning drive with no timeouts. Like him or not, he did what was needed when we needed it the most.

Credit to Louis Nix and Tuitt too, they had big games. They were shining spots on a defense that tackled poorly yesterday and had a hard time handling Marve. Overall the defense did enough for us to win and keep us in the game, but the tackling has to improve. Way too many missed tackles from the secondary this week.

Golson should have been an option. I would have voted for Tuitt either way, though.

I agree he had a really good first half. He just needs to learn that you only have 3-4 seconds to throw the ball and not take bad sacks.
