I will be utterly shocked if we don't win by 2 TDs or more, and I'm currently 9-3 ATS on this young season so get on board the money train while you can.

Alright, I just liquidated my 401K. What are the other bets I should make this week so I can diversify?

For that you will have to tune in to my weekly gambling column on ISD, released Fridays.

I know it's wayyyyy too soon, but some of the hurricane Jose projections have it riding up the east coast. If it does, I wonder what happens to the game on Saturday.

4 point or 4 TDs? I just laid down a fatty bet on ND -11 over BC before that line moves.

I rolled weeks 1 & 2's ND winnings, my 13-7 wk 1-2 CFB haul and yesterday's .5 point escape job I pulled in the Bears/Falcons game plus four more digits on the same play. Feel more confident about this one than I did Temple and that was 90%

If it doesn't work out, my kid's getting a home schooled bachelors from the yet to be established... Fighting Crusaders of Arizona Tech.

Okay I want in on this. Crus, are you my bookie?

Nope! Everything I do is squeaky clean Vegas style.

If I got into some kind of interstate wagering with you, I could only pay you in Belching Beaver Bombers.

Solid recruiting weekend especially with Cota, Irvin and Anderson. Great shot with all three.

Neither team looked good. Both teams played to others strength defensively. Both were fortunate many times. Both teams are probably top 20, but not top 15.

One last comment....there was a sizable difference in crowd noise in the north and south endzone for UGA. Really didn't even notice the crowd noise around me from there. In fact, we made comments in our section about how quiet they were.

It is way too early, but long-term forecasts here in Boston look fine. 70s, partly cloudy.

Of course if there's a hurricane we can expect ND to throw downfield a whole lot more than they did Saturday night.

My biggest takeaway after disappointment was....

Wimbush and the o-line just faced the toughest test they will face all year and were left wanting.

BUT, and there is a big but, what a fantastic learning opportunity.

Now it all falls on coaching.

Can the coaches use the experience of facing arguably the top Defence in the country to get Wimbush more mentally prepared for the challenges he will face further into the season.

Neither Wimbush or the o-line were prepared for that onslaught the front 7 of Georgia put on them. I would also suggest, neither were the coaches, because they really had no answers either.

It is now time for the coaches to either step up and progress as an offense, or step aside and bring in a elite group of coaches who can.

I somehow feel that if we had an Elko like presence with the Offence, the results would have been different. I watched the game and grew more and more frustrated with both the play calling and the decisions by Wimbush. At some point in time a great coaching staff has to make the adjustments to over come these issues.

Longshot with Cota in my opinion. It's going to be tough to bring him from the west coast.

The crazy thing about recruiting is that "great shot" and "long shot" can both be true lol.

You get a kid on campus, and you have a great shot at a kid that is a true long shot.

-Why no Dexter? Last game we rotated backs very well. This game we kept feeding Adams.

-Wimbush made the wrong decision 75% of the time on whether to keep the ball or hand it off. So annoying.

-That may be the best Oline & Dline we face all year.

-The late QB hit and TD catch calls - Anger, just anger.

Overall super happy with this team after the season we had last year.

Georgia's OL is below average and the biggest question mark on their team.

The comments on playing Dexter are puzzling.

I watched the game and rarely saw a lane open up which Adams missed.

Unless Dex is really Harry Potter and can apparate past the Line of Scrimmage, he had very little chance of being any more successful than Josh. maybe Barry Sanders...but that's about it.

We needed to make a play on offense, Dexter is a playmaker. He should have gotten some touches in the run game or pass game or both.

yup and their offense is a basic bitch in CFB terms. They will get handled by any decent SEC team.

I don't know. This schedule sets up pretty well for them to run the table. Tennessee? They'll likely choke. Florida's offense is a hot mess. South Carolina might grow enough as a team to give them a decent game, but GA has more talent and depth then them. Auburn might be their only loss and who knows how good they really are...

Based on?

So, with the large holes they were creating and their 185 rushing yards you would have us right around 4-5 wins this year? Strange so many on here are giving our Defense mad props yet Georgia's Oline is average. Please explain?

Btw, if Georgia ran the ball in the first half the way they did in the second we would have lost by more. For the life of me I don't know how they didn't see we couldn't stop it.

Sorta disagree. Adams is a one-cut plodder who needs 4 steps to get up to speed and really only excels when he has a crease to get to the second level. Dexter Williams probably wasn't going to do shit, but he surely would've attacked the line of scrimmage more explosively and probably wouldn't have been stuffed on 90% of his runs.

It's more about fresh legs. If you have multiple good backs why not use them....see Georgia. I saw holes they just closed up quickly. Speed would have helped.

Playmaker yes....magic no.

The front 7 completely overwhelmed our o-line. There was no room for Dex to get by the LOS. Wimbush would have had a better chance getting bu the LOS running the RPO, but he was almost always overwhelmed before he could make a read.

Short passes to Jones would have had more success than trying to crack through that front 7 the way they completely manhandled our o-line.

Exactly. They asked the OL to sustain blocks for a long time (dumb) and then had a back that takes awhile to get up to speed carrying the ball (also dumb). If you had Dexter Williams running the ball on quick hitting running plays I think a lot of stuffed plays go for 3-4 yards instead. Adams would start towards the line of scrimmage and then almost come to a complete stop as holes closed. I'm not sure Dexter Williams would've done a whole lot better, but it's hard to do worse than what we saw.
