99 OVR returner-- custom player in EA NCAA Football 2014 on ps3 and xbox. Shorty got moves.

Oh yea I know of him.

Move Will Fuller around so he doesn't always get matched up against him. Although I think Fuller could take him deep though. I think Fuller could take any corner in the nation deep.

Would love to see both Fuller and Breezy line up and go long. Their other corner, who is taller/bigger is not near as fast. Good corner but not the same level. I'm assuming the S will help most of the day with Fuller, so expecting to see Chris get more catches.

I would love to see BVG blitz and blitz often against Clemson. Watson has turned the ball over some this year. TWO int last game, and their OL is hurting badly.

The Irish may be able to get pressure on him without blitzing. Day could have a field day with that Tiger OL. Even still, some timely blitzes would make Watson have to think quicker and when that happens he can make some mistakes.

What kind of tempo does Clemson use? Do they move rapid-fire?

If I were Clemson, I'm operating the Nascar package the entire game to keep BVG from settling in and making his 3/4 good playcalls that he's usually good for.

I watched the first half of Louisville and it was almost all uptempo.

It seems like they were moving very fast on early downs, but nearly every third down situation saw the play clock go down to the 10-second mark or under.

Basically, limit the damage on early downs, and BVG will be able to draw some things up on third. I feel like we could see Day and Jaylon get after it pretty good, much like the Texas game.

glad this is a night game, have a work obligation all afternoon so I'll be able to get home to watch it.

should be a pretty festive atmosphere, possibly visited by gameday

Clemson is not good at football. I was wildly unimpressed in the Louisville game after Louisville looked terrible against Auburn (who is also terrible). ND will win and it won't be close.

Clemson is retruning 1 or 2 starters on defense and I believe a couple Olineman.... my biggest concern is our piss poor road performances!

Just watching the first half of the condensed version posted above, Watson did not look good early. He tried to make a few touch throws, but they were really just poor decision on balls floated into coverage. He didn't look like an athlete that is going to beat Jaylon, either.

Clemson's only success from the bit I saw was attacking the edge. I truly believe that if BVG can just mirror his gameplan from Texas, and adjust it to combat a team that will be moving a bit faster at times, that ND could put a hurting on Dabo and his boys.

Nit everyone brings their A game against inferior opponents.on the road, see Virginia game. I love how confident you guys are and I think you're right, but I feel like you're putting a lot of stock into a classic 'play down' game. And I obviously thought their D looked really good vs Louisville.

I will be shocked if this game is a blowout.

Clemson will be jacked up for this one. we are everything they despise. a clean program with athletes who go to class and payment comes via the education you earn at ND, not handouts.

I expect a very close game similar to Tallahassee last year, but hopefully a different outcome in our favor.

We're not going to play down to a top ten opponent on the road with GameDay and the ABC crew there.

I think he means that our opinions are too heavily weighted by a performance in which Clemson was "playing down" against Louisville.

(not sure I agree, because even at 0-2, everyone knows that Bobby Petrino is dangerous)

Wasn't my point. I'm talking about how clemson likely played down to Louisville, like we did to virginia, and we're basing how clemson will do on that game. If they Base it in how we looked against virginia, they probably think they'll spank us considering a bad qb and average WRS were able to make plays against us

the last time we went on the road in a high profile game we played really good against fsu and we won..i fully expect the guys to be prepared and ready for the game...remember clemson is going to be off for 16 days before we play...they will have rust

Clemson is not a bad team either. They are a young team, and full of talent. A road win in Louisville against Petrino (only 17pts scored) is not the worst victory either.

Did you watch that whole game? Or Louisville - Auburn? They're garbage.

These are the types of games we have played well in the last 5 years. Oklahoma, USC, Michigan St., even Michigan despite losing.

I have a lot of faith that we will win although it will probably be pretty competitive.

I wish this were true but I highly doubt it. Clemson has some real talent and we haven't proven we can do it every night. I'm sure our boys will be jacked up for the primetime affair but I'm sure Clemson's will be as well.

This is going to be a fight unless we finally see perfect execution and a reduction in our penalties. We've been undisciplined or hindered by cadence, whatever you want to call it. We need to cut down on our drops and unforced errors and then maybe we have a chance to win this.

Watched it, and posted the game video as well. Watched Louisville/Auburn as well.
Most anti-ND folks would say we're garbage after watching the ND/VA game.

Like I said, they are a young team, but have a lot of talent. You will see them improve as the year goes along. I just hope they don't make a big jump in the next two weeks.

What is hurting them the most is the injuries along the OL. Had they had everyone healthy vs Louisville, I think the output would have looked a little different.

Will we win, I think so. Will we blow them out like you suggest, I doubt it. I would love it if we did, I just don't see a blow out happening in Death Valley. I'm sure Dabo and team circled this one long ago, and especially after he made remarks about ND joining a conference. Hoping ND and team circled it too.

I said "won't be close," which is different from a blowout. I don't expect ND - Texas, but I think at least two scores.

I think it will be somewhat close. 3-9pts. I'd love to see a 14pt or more win. To me, 14 or more in DV is as good as a blowout.

Dont be shocked. Clemson has laid some REALLY BIG stinkers at home against big competition. That being said I think Clemson is highly over valued this year and ND handles them fairly well. I think a +/-9 to 14 point game is reasonable.

My concern is the speed on the outside against Luke and Russell. Clemson has receivers that can get loose for huge plays. I look for them to try and attack Schmidt and Onwualu with speedy receivers. I am hoping we spend more time with 5 dbs on the field personally.
