Yeah but I'll take a 45-3 thrashing like 2020 again even with 2.3 yards per carry
Right. If the WR room is going to be banged up and they can't throw the ball downfield, I don't really care if they win every game like they did against USC. Just Willingham 2002 your way to every game by scoring via turnovers, defense and special teams. Iron everything out in spring and summer camp.

I think that Louisville lost the game rather than Pitt won it. Two interceptions I think (this is off-the-top memory) , and six fumbles, although only one was lost --- still usually drive killers. Also noticed that the Jerk was in Did Not Participate status, despite our claims that he was shifting positions.
One of Pitt's ints was a 86 yard pick six. That basically a 14 point play.

Man their DBs like to hold. How many defensive holdings did they get called for? I’m sure they got away with a ton. Hopefully MF points this out to the officials in pre-game next week.

That seems high. I would’ve expected 10, and Pitt would still be tempting as a 10 point dog.

But Vegas knows.

There’s no way. It’s Pitt. Shrader goes 3/7 on field goals and we win 23-13.
It’s funny everyone rags on Schrader, he is now 9-14, so making 2 out of every 3 kicks, which is normal, but according to ESPN stats he has only missed once inside 45.
He is 35-35 on Extra points.
4-5 under 40.
He is 4-6 over 50. They have trotted him out there twice over 55.
He has attempted 0 kicks under 20.
He has attempted 1 kick under 30.
He had attempted more kicks over 50 than under 40.
His average yards per attempts is just under 50.
If ND didn’t ask him to kick from an average of 50 yards per attempt, he would probably be closer to 80%.
He has had 0 gimmies & 6 really tough attempts.

Just now realizing we have two BYEs in the final month and a half. Does anyone alive doubt were 7-1 and #4 in the country if we have a BYE over Louisville instead of doubling up in 3rd quarter of season?

As bad as Parker has been, the schedule yet again fucked us out of a championship run #iNdEpEnDeNCe - really cool as long as you don't think about it.

True independence does give more freedom to scheduling, including byes. What we have now is a halfway house whose benefits aren't totally apparent to me.

Cool thing is based on Freemans PC, they now realize teams are putting an extra hat in the box and daring ND to throw it. ND must disguise passes in the form of play action, and take more shots.

I think it just shows you how bad parker has been. Freeman stated we didn't need to run PA the first 4 games so it wasn't really part of the package. I know some of this is coach speak, but there's no excuse why we don't run more PA and disguise it better.

Would you mind linking to his presser? Edit - believe it's this and his response doesn't leave me feeling warm and fuzzy. Sure, he acknowledges they need to take more shots but emphasized it's not playcalling, it's execution... well Marcus it is in fact playcalling quite often. He also shifts blame to turnovers but turnovers often result from inability to move the ball and forcing things that arent there (us v Louisville, Caleb Williams vs us, for example).

I think it's towards the middle. He talks about how he wants to run still vs a stacked box, but teams are absolutely brining an extra hat and daring them to throw it.
