I was thinking about this all of last week. How hard is it to run a Play Action Bootleg, and find Raridon or Faison in the flat?

This play is incredibly difficult to stop in the NFL. I would be shocked if college teams could stop it.

For the life of me, I don’t know why they don’t do a dual RB formation/play call on short yardage situations.

Put Love or Price at QB and in the shotgun and motion the other running back not at QB (or Faison out of the slot) and hand it off or keep it. Arkansas did this with Darren McFadden and Felix Jones and it torched us. In the embedded video, you can see they did it a handful of times and it was unstoppable.

Having solely Love back there as a battering ram is way too predictable. Having Price next to him or Price/Faison running across for a potential handoff would keep the defense honest and would force them to defend the field.

Honestly, for USC it should just be dark blue jerseys and bright gold helmets, always.

Never, rain yes but not real winter weather. There has been a long standing agreement between Rockne and the USC coach way back when to play in October for nice fall weather so wives can go shopping in Chicago and see the fall colors and when they play out in SoCal it’s November so the wives can go shopping in nice winter weather in Beverly Hills.

When times aren’t so good with the program I often think back to Bowden lamenting how much more physical ND was than FSU,… and I wish it were just a constant thing. Good news is its far less of a concern lately
