I’m not sure what draft picks have been traded, but I would assume the Colts, Cardinals, and possibly the Buccaneers will be competing for the number one draft spot. The Buccaneers could use a quarterback, but the other two would make the draft very interesting if they were to land the number one spot.

Cardinals would totally move on from Kyler

Last time my buddies and I started a Madden Franchise I wound up having to rebuild Arizona. First thing I did was offload Murray, that contract was so awful we implemented a one time cap reset for everyone.

Still 10+ mins left in the 2nd quarter and USC already up 35-0. Stanford getting obliterated! USC will be THE game of the year.

Hard to take too much from this.

This is, without question, the worst Stanford team since probably 2006. The year when they failed to score more than 10 points in all but 3 of 12 games and went 1-11. They were bad last year, and a lot of their best players either graduated or transferred.

I really don't see another win on their schedule. I legit could see them losing to Sac State next week. I'm confident in saying they are the worst team in the Pac-12 by a considerable margin.

I also doesn't help that they were coming off a week after playing in Hawaii. That's equivalent to us going to Ireland.

USC’s schedule is backloaded but the do have Colorado Sept 30.
Their last three games are Washington Oregon and UCLA

Figure its a long shot but anybody with tickets available between the 30’s I would be interested. Not looking to pay less than what the market demands but Figured i’d check in here before making stubhub or similar rich with their fees.

Just wait. They’ll go down closer to game day. Be patient

When people said they felt better about USC after they played ASU, I was skeptical. Having watched most of this game against Colorado (10 mins left in 4Q at time of writing 48-34 SC winning)... I definitely see what people were saying.

Don't get me wrong, it's going to be a tough game but not some impossible task.

They have a top offense that is almost impossible to stop straight up but their defense is incredibly soft and mistake prone. They don’t tackle well and if you don’t beat yourself you can generate chunk plays against them.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the game plan should be move the ball methodically with the running game or just go all out shootout.

Yep that’s why the scores in SC games go so high. Shoot out.

I’m no expert but I would think last thing you want to do is get in a shootout w/ arguably the best offense in America. SC needs to get hit in the mouth multiple times. Looking at how Oregon shut Colorado down, looks like Oregon is good enough to beat SC as well.

Non-football news but probably adding to what is going to be a weird day: there will be a solar eclipse that is half visible from South Bend for about 3 hours ending around 2:30 PM.

yeah our defense on the field for 80+ plays chasing their qb doesnt seem like a path to success.

If anyone is looking to part with one ticket as we get closer to game day, I’m looking for just one for myself. Shoot me a PM!

This team isn't doing well on 3rd downs so i'd prefer not to be in a spot like last year where we have to convert multiple 3rd/fourth downs each drive to score points

ND is 18 for 61 on third down their last 4 games, or 35%, that's not good. In comparison, last 4 games our D has given up 27/64, or 42%. Not good either for the D.

In summary, we need to do much better on 3rd downs both sides of the ball to beat USC.

Gonna be an interesting matchup of strength vs strength (USC offense vs ND defense). We’re probably gonna have to score in the low 30s to have a realistic chance to win.

The byes are so dumb this year- why are they after USC and after Clemson? Next week is also midterm week. Prister was saying we have less say in byes because we’re Independent…
