Seem like good value for an ND game. $125 sideline, $100 lower and $80 upper - if I were in that area I would be all over lower level tickets. Pretty annoying more games aren't broken down by sections like this.

I hope so. I have only seen them there once and I believe they lost. Quinn was the QB then and I believe he was a freshmen (to busy to look it up).

the only reason they play at the meadowlands is because it's to expand their NYC's College football team iniative

Yeah it was 2003. My uncle and I were so close to going too. I was only 13, that game might have scared me for life.

Yea. It was tough. It was my first game and I was so excited and then they played like that. I thought I was a curse.

Expect Syracuse to drastically improve, even if this schedule makes it hard to notice (Bill Connelly's analysis, SB Nation)

Over the final seven games of 2012, Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib's passer rating soared to 150.2. He was suddenly completing intermediate passes all over the field, throwing two touchdowns per game, and making almost no mistakes. After averaging 22.8 points per game through six contests, Doug Marrone's Orange averaged 36.1.

This was the prototypical "...and then suddenly, the light bulb went on" story that we see just enough to convince us it's possible. It was also just about the only time in the last decade-plus that Syracuse has been good at moving the football. In 11 years of S&P+ data, 2012 is the only time the Orange have ranked in the Off. S&P+ top 50 (32nd), and it was based on half a season of quality.

You can understand the draw of Dino Babers, then. Yards are good. Points are good. Babers ends up with a lot of them

The short version

2016 projected wins: 5.5

Projected S&P+ ranking: 44 (9 in ACC)

5-year recruiting ranking: 63 (13 in ACC)

Biggest strength: No team north of Louisiana returns more of last year's production. That alone is highly correlated to strong improvement.

Biggest question mark: Will this defense have even the slightest semblance of a pass rush?

Biggest 2016 game: Louisville (Sept. 9). This is both a revenge opportunity and an early chance to show off the new offense. Win it, and the odds of a bowl bid rise dramatically.

Summary: New head coach Dino Babers inherits an experienced roster and a talented quarterback. The odds of the Orange improving quite a bit in 2016 are high, though the schedule might prevent even a much better squad from going better than 7-5.

Their new coach, Dino Babers, is a disciple of Art Briles' offense and coached at Bowling Green last year. BG averaged 546 yds and 42 points per game last year.

After seeing how incompetent BVG is again against up tempo offenses this is going to be a very tough game.

Thank you! We don't have to wait around to know if the networks are going to pimp ND in prime time. Get the pain over with early.

It's also a plus for the players. No more getting in at 2 am on Sunday mornings.

Oct 1 | Syracuse

Went to this game in 2014, not going this year. Probably a good thing.

Syracuse has an uptempo good offense.

Sadly I think Syracuse takes Notre Dame behind the woodshed.

Sigh

Edit: Thank you BGIF

They had a receiver go for 270 yards today. 270!

Their QB is also pretty solid too. Could be bad...
