Had Unicorn Killer by Greenbush Brewery. Not a big fan. Have a Pride & Joy by Three Floyds waiting for me in the fridge once this essay is done.

Stone Double Bastard 2013 Release. Been resting for almost a year, hops have faded to just a touch of earthiness, with loads of malt. Caramel, molasses, dates, figs, raisins, maple and a slight nutty flavor. Almost tastes like an Old Ale.

Piraat Ale. Aged a few hours.

Just got back from a weekend in Northern Michigan. Two Hearted Ales were in abundance!

Tonight it's a Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. I'm not normally a pumpkin beer fan, but my homebrew buddies and I brewed a pumpkin ale for kicks over the bye weekend and tried a few examples in the style while mashing. Dogfish does it well, as expected.

Next weekend is Pulaski Days here in GR, and we'll be busting out our first attempt at a Grodziskie/Grätzer! Polish beer, golabki, and ND v Stanford... can't wait for this weekend!!

Just giving you a hard time. Though I couldn't imagine my stomach handling Wild Blue if IPAs or other ales bothered it.

Only had wild blue once this year I think, but it didn't jack me up... All I know is this, I had a nasty stomach virus last winter and haven't been able to drink thick/heavy beers since... All i know

You? You mean me.

No exaggeration:
Sadly I drank on average about 12-18 beers a day from 1986 -2006. I would have sworn I was an alcoholic, but I quit for a year (because I quit smoking) no problem. Now I drink about 6-9 a week. Actually less cause I'm counting the ones I wake up holding sitting on the couch at night after work.

It's funny how one can drink a lot and not technically be an alcoholic. I think more than a few people in this thread know what I'm talking 'bout.

The only thing that sucks about drinking so much is you then require more the do the job....

Was it here that it was posted 10% of Americans have around 10 drinks a day?

Only the best pumkin beer on the market, Pumking.

Ps I am so glad Lagunitas has made it to Indy now. I have clearly been missing out.

There isn't really a thread for it, so I'll post here since its related:

I'm also bottling a pumpkin ale tonight, and will be brewing a pliny clone tomorrow.

Leinies Orange Shandy.

Most of Leinenkugel's stuff is too cloyingly sweet for my taste, but the Orange Shandy is a decent hot weather beer.

Not a big beer guy, so what does that say about me?

It's a serious character flaw. You should work on that.
