I ain’t scared of Dan Marino or Tony Dorsett in the slightest… but that’s because they don’t currently play for Pitt… the players that do play for Pitt, well I don’t know ANY of their names… but they scare the living sh!t out of me…

Will Bobby Diaco do something to disrupt Savage early and often or just play it safe and have us on pins and needles for 60 minutes?

To be fair, the last time Diaco tried to disrupt a QB early and often, it was Devin Gardner and he made our DB's look silly trying to run in man coverage.

Bend-but-don't-break should suffice for Savage and Pitt.

Take away what they do best and that's throw the ball. Make them run and the Irish win by two scores.

I have watched Pitt a few times this year and quite frankly their offense is getting worse as the season progresses. They could hardly move the ball against GT this weekend and GT's defense is atrocious. If we can't keep them from scoring 14 points (and that is really being generous) then Kelly really needs to consider getting a new DC.

I would really like to see us Line up with 2 Te's 2 Wr's and Rees under center. I really think would could have success with that.

Very early in the game, I'd like to see Jaylon make Pitt's TE wish he had ridden ND's bench the last couple years.

I was at the 73 game against Pitt with Tony D. We had the grass high to slow him down. First play of the game off right tackle he gets stuffed. Second play off right tackle he goes 67 yards for the TD. Game, set and match.

My parents were in grade school... 73 being one of the greatest years in Irish history made that easy to catch

Great news.

If Day and Nix can suit up, our d-line woes aren't nearly as bad as expected:

DE: Day, Jones, Okwara
NT: Nix, Stockton, Okwara (passing downs)
DE: Tuitt, Utopo, Okwara

Not terrible. Still weak depth there and at LB, but it looks a lot prettier with Nix and Day in the lineup. Although Okwara may be a busy man if he is expected to be a backup at OLB and on the d-line.

the Pitt offense should suit ND pretty well, they are basically Stanford-lite

Leaving Rochelle off that list too. Depth is OK everywhere is Day is 100% because we can go 4 down with Rochelle/Okwara-Tuitt/Jones-Day-Shembo to give Nix breathers.

I think we will play primarily 4 man lines, with it being:

DE - Tuitt, Utupo
DT - Nix, Jones, Stockton (but I believe when Nix comes out Tuitt will slide inside)
DT - Day, Rochell (same as above)
DE - Shembo, Okwara (when Tuitt, slides inside, Okwara takes opposite DE of Shembo.

I was 99% sure I was forgetting someone, and 100% too lazy to check the roster.

I feel bad for forgetting Isaac. Guy has been very solid this year.
