Basically all the distractions/hoopla on home weekends is getting a makeover. BK realizes some of the pageantry can make the players lose focus, so he is remodeling the pre-home game ritual without losing traditions like the pep rally, walk, etc. Kudos to BK, another sign HE GETS IT.

Would you paraphrase the changes to the pre-game routine?

Moved the pep rally up an hour to get to the team hotel earlier, does not like players giving tours of The Gug on a game weekend, basically trimming the unnecessary fat. BK wants more "relaxing" before kickoff to stay focused. Nothing too specific from BK himself, but Pete Sampson peppers the article with stats of home vs away games, and alludes to BK seeing a lack of focus because of the distractions on gameday, and wants to be more business leading up to kickoff. Bennett Jackson didn't come out and say it, but his quote can be read "we feel less pressure on the road."

For us broke kids, what did he say?

Not sure if this was the interview quoted in the article from this post, but he mentioned the jumbtron here:

Makes sense. We've played better on the road than away this year, at least offensively. I attributed it to Golson being nervous or something at home, although he did mention in an interview recently that he likes going into an opponent's turf for a game.

I've got $200 riding on us coming out strong this week, mostly because BK seems to have made home game energy/focus a priority and has also talked about upping the tempo on offense. I hope what he's done works. Clearly, I'm pretty sure it will

Regarding the above video---What the f did that first reporter even ask? Sounded like he was eating a hoagie and the bread was extra chewy, but attempted to form a question anyway. I think he asked if the BCS be a fun place to go? WTF? Then the tool bag reporter after him asking who they play next and laughing like he was a comedian.

I rescind my reporter comments posted last night.

yeah i've heard this guy ask stupid *** questions before. In this weeks BK press conference, you can see coach kelly look annoyed when the guy starts talking. i think it was the first question of the presser.
