Freeman/Golden managed to beat them 35-32 three years ago, and ND could do no wrong last week against a garbage team, so should be smooth sailing.

Yeah pretty sure NBC saw the Big Ten schedule and crapped their pants. I imagine this also is baked into the competitive offer that NBC gave ND, to allow for an extra night games if they request it.

November night game in SB against a small name opponent is just rude to the fanbase.

I really like the Arkansas game - so nice to have the game over early and watch our blow out score cross the screen on all the rest of the games for the day. Also opens the Saturday night mass option. Can't remember the last time we had a noon kick but I liked it a lot.

I see this night game is not yet sold out. ND is offering a package deal on their website for $150/pair in the lower bowl corner endzones. Just bought tickets for my children's first game. Their first experience at Notre Dame was a huge fail because it was cold and misted/rained during the 2023 spring game and the kids were miserable. We need to correct that this year!

So much for my optimism.

Interested to see how the young secondary performs against Navy. Shuler & Moore should do fine as this is their 2nd time to see the triple option hybrid. Gray seemed to struggle last season when Horvath passed. I think it was more of getting caught off guard than anything but that game was over before it started so Navy had to go to the air a lot. Smith is a vet but has never faced Navy. Not even sure they’ll need a nickel in this game. Weather could make this a moot point but it’s a fool’s errand to predict how aggressively the wind will be blowing.
