And he signed what was the biggest contract ever last year too. Made 8+M last year, and ramps up to 10M a year, over the next 7ish years.
If he was to leave, he'd have to get a lot more than that, and guaranteed. He'd be tied for 8th most in the NFL right now at 8M. I think Belichick is the highest paid at 12M.
Is Jax going to make him the highest paid coach (or at least a top 3)? And guarantee him ~60-70M. That's likely what it would take.
The only thing that prevents me from completely closing the NFL door (not saying you are BTW) is the potential shifting financial landscape in college football. While not an immediate threat, I think this upcoming off season will be really interesting and give some insights into what to expect in the coming years, especially player compensation.
