With our young secondary playing decent and seem to be getting better each week, I think we can put 8 in the box and shut Navy down. They are still going to get some nice yardage plays but putting guys on an island doesn't scare me near as much.

Totally agree. Tranquil will be huge in run support. Young CBs will be out on an island all day man to man. Navy will take a few shots downfield. They have burned us in the past.

Really? Because NCST ran for over 150 yards that game. So, actually, that skews the stats for the worse than the better.

Texas had unknowns on the OL and we thought ND would do great...200+ yards later.

Michigan St. is 2-7!! And they put up 260...100 yards higher than their yearly average.

Duke even put up 200 yards on ND.

that's true. if ND can get a few stops and perhaps a turnover that would help. however the offense needs to show up for an entire game. navy will get their yards and points ND cant afford to have the offense go into hibernation for half the game.

The only way i see Navy winning this game is if they have one hell of a passing attack. They are much more balanced between the run and the pass than they have in recent memory. If they catch ND stacking the box or sleeping on play action then Navy could be in the game.

if ST plays a role in the game I'd say it would be ND that benefits. with sanders returning KOs and punts he could give ND good field position. its just that ND cant be settling for FGs in this game and expect to win.

navy will hit some good passes on ND down the field but more often than not I think ND will be in his face when he throws.

I haven't seen navy play much this year but im sure they are undersized up front again, ND needs to hammer the running game.
