Fuller's our All-American on offense. We'll see about Everett --- but not yet despite the stats. Day is our All-American on defense. And there are a near hoard of teammates closely following him. [Smith, Riggs, I'm going to say Cole Luke, who I've been astonished by, and {this is admittedly crazy} but if our DEs were a meta-entity then the Trumbetti/ Okwara/ Hill TransformerMonster would be another --- these guys don't create spectacular superman plays every play, but at intervals during each drive "something" rises up and stuffs the opponents stone dead.]

It's Will Fuller's thread and he deserves all the props [which after Kelly "told" me that he could blow the top off any defense, I got on the bandwagon long ago.] But I can't help dreaming about the day in the near future [2015] when Trumbetti/ Cage/ Jones/ Hill/ Smith/ Morgan/ Luke/ Redfield/ Watkins/ Tranquill --- oh, he!l fill in your own eleven, we have a TON of defensive talent --- roll out on the field after Will has scored his third >60 TD, and even he walks back out to the sidelines to watch the Mean Green Machine tear the opponent another new one.

If Coach EVER gets a "cool" Everett, or Malik, or Deshone, Will's going to be utterly unstoppable, and our defense will be utterly "stoppable." Our O will put them in a hole and the defense will cover up the grave. I am really looking forward to the next several years with these guys --- Coach! Please Stay!.

I know I'm not alone, but this guy was my favorite offensive recruit from his class. I'm happy we were able to get him, and he will only continue to improve. The kid is a winner, and you can tell he loves the game and takes his preparation seriously. In terms of making all his grabs, he will mature as he gains more experience.

Guy deserves a shout out, I remember when we offered him I was like what the fack. But he has been balling this year and has already exceeded every expectation I ever had for him at ND.

I didnt know enough to think it was a bad offer, but just thought it was adequate. He has legitimately turned into the #1 receiver on this team right now. He can flat out fly

Everybody is entitled to their reasons of course.

Some of mine:
A). TD leaders:
Rashard Higgins [Colorado State]=10;
Nelson Spruce [Colorado]=10;
Tony Lippett [Michigan State]=8;
Three Washington State receivers=7
Keevan Lucas [Tulsa]=7;
Will Fuller [Notre Dame]=7.

B). some yards per catch comparison with the "famous" WRs:
Amari Cooper [Alabama]= 14.2;
Kevin White West Virginia]= 14.6;
Will Fuller [Notre Dame]= 14.4.

Conclusive? No. Belongs in the conversation? Yes.

GTFO. He was in the top 200, and a 4 star. I call BS.

On pace for a little over a thousand and 14 TDs... probably not quite All-American level yet, but getting there. Interested to see if he continues to get separation with ease against FSU's DBs.

Corey Robinson can be utilized sooner than the 4th quarter, it would help Fuller break away more often ... please use both!

Also, in some of those jump ball scenarios he has the DB's beat bad very early and if Golson gets it out on time those are TD's not PI calls. Golson being late on his throws has cost some big production here.

I am talking about when he committed, he was maybe 160 pounds soak and wet. I just questioned the offer and trust me I am not anymore. I wasn't jabbing Will Fuller at all just pointing out he has been balling this year.

Fuller needs to gain strength (while hopefully not losing speed) so he can break tackles. He goes down too easily when a DB gets a hand on him. Against most teams it isn't a problem because the DBs can't get a hand on him. But this is probably the one major deficiency in his game. Add that element and he is truly elite.

If Will does ANYTHING which cuts down on his speed it is a BIG mistake. Any gain which does NOT cut his speed is OK of course, but it is his speed that is getting us TDs and scaring the hell out of the opponents. As Mayock said last Saturday, he now requires the opposing DC to gameplan for him --- THAT's a rare bird at WR.

Note to Fuller:

Gain 20 pounds by Saturday night.

Posted this past summer:

Pretty sure the staff loved his route running and hands as a recruit. I could be mistaken though. I recall comparisons to TJ, only faster. I think this kid is going to be big for ND in the coming years (including this year).

I'm almost positive I posted about this back when Will first committed as well. But I vividly recall BK comparing Will to TJ and how they loved his route running, his hands, and his speed. Say what you will about his offer list, etc. BK identified a kid that could be a playmaker and he's yet to disappoint. I'm not the least bit shocked that Will is having such success so far this season.
