add Connor Wedington(WR) and Malik Antoine(S)to the Stanford injury list. Still listing 3 true frosh on the OL.

Could you imagine what our season would look like if we started Kristoflic, Correll and Carroll for half the season? No wonder they are 4-8.

Huge coaching moment for BK to get this team to 10 wins in the face of another rival and some adverse weather. Time to conquer the rain demons and close this regular season with double digit victories. I was watching some old ICON videos yesterday, especially from the 2012 season. Loved the Michigan State one and Oklahoma one. I was in Norman for that win, epic, and that's where johnnycando and met.

No doubt. I went down a worm hole last night watching highlights from 2009 (don’t ask). 18 Stripes was doing a series on each game of Weis’ last season calling it his Last Stand. I watched the Stanford game...ugh.

Anytime someone gets frustrated w/ BK & current roster, go back and watch any game from that season. They should have gone by Notre Ame b/c there was zero D that season (sorry, that was weak). Seriously, outside of a few guys, that was a porous defense. If you remember, Stanford was down by double digits & then cut the score to 8. Irish couldn’t stop Gerhart (rushed for over 200 yds) nor could they stop Luck (zero sacks). Stanford scores on a trick play & then gets the 2 pt conversion to tie it.

ND has to punt on their next possession and Stanford drives down the field. They get clock down under 2:00 min obviously bleeding clock knowing a FG wins it. Weis tells Tenuta to let them score so they can get the ball back. They do. ND drives on ensuing possession inside Cardinal territory but has to throw up a Hail Mary after clausen takes a sack w/ zero TOs. You think BK is frustrating!!!

Side note: damn Clausen to Tate & Floyd was glorious. If that team had any semblance of a D, they win 10 games & Clausen &/or Tate are Heisman contenders.

Side note II: Toby Gerhart was robbed of the Heisman that season.

Nothing like standing near the student section in the rain with family - all soaked - at the ND-Stanford 2012 game watching our goal line stand in OT and then singing the alma mater.

I bet Carroll would have done a good job.

As for Stanford's 3 true freshmen, Walter Rouse has 10 starts under his belt so it's that time of the year when experienced freshmen are no longer Freshmen plus it's clear... he was a 5* OT like someone went on and on about.

The other two guys Barrett & Hornibrook? Probably be Irish right now if ND would have offered... or in Hornibrook's case, even recruited. Barrett at least got a look.

It's always windy in the bay area. Keeps It cool and comfy when an area like San Ramone Is 110. Palo Alto Is perfect come supper time.. It's about as perfect an area to live and die.... as there is.
The good ole boys in New York would have set up shop years ago...If It was a known.

We typically only throw the 3-6 yard passes anyways, so we can stick with our passing gameplan.

Clausen, Tate, Deshone and Fuller have problems sticking around long enough to win,......
Come on man....

That's Awesome you were there. I was too.
I'm watching the 1999 game atm. (PAC12 Network) It's great to listen to Keith Jackson call a game we are involved with again... Just an Iconic voice I wish I could GIF to death

The ND fanbase is still suffering PTSD from the scUM game to the point that a portion of fans have convinced themselves that ND will find a way to blow this game b/c the weather is going to be bad.

PTSD from the Michigan game on the road.

Or 2016 NC State game on the road

Or 2015 Clemson game on the road

Outscored 79 to 39

Outrushed 672 to 255

ND and Brian Kelly threw the ball 161 times compared to JUST 49 times in those 3 games.

Yeah... As long as BK is on the sideline with a little drizzle I am worried.

The irony is that Stanford’s offense is even less well suited to rain than ND’s.

Somewhat sad, yet surreal - that if the weather stands with the rain and wind - and the offensive play calls will be the same as those in the past during hurricanes and monsoons that we are (I am) predicting.... yet this time, there is no running game like the Irish had before.... so...

My prediction, Irish run for 400 yards and pass for less than 100 in this game..

ok - someone tell me which part of this needs to be in Italics

just wondering

Agreed. I don't trust BK to tie his shoes if there's a little drizzle, let alone coach his team to a win. I'm more than a little concerned about tomorrow.

Haha no joke was just saying this to my dad. I even went so far as to say all football should be played in a dome. I'd much rather have the actual athletes determine the outcome of the game and not have the weather play a factor at all. I do think snow games are cool tho. But rainy sloppy football is shit to watch. Especially lately for ND fans.

Never gonna happen.... As for play on the field determining the outcomes of the games?... Never gonna happen either...
Thank your local officiating crew that isn't paid enough....
