I'm not interested in a bowl game...three weeks worth of practice.

Let's just call it a season.

If ANYONE involved with this team wants to call it a season after being utterly humiliated by their biggest rival, then I need to find another team to root for. Man the f-uck up, whip the ever loving frosting out these fatties for a month, win or at least look interested in being in the bowl game, and THEN call it a season.

We need the practice, and honestly I don't think we would do that poorly in a bowl unless we draw an absolutely horrible match up. I don't see that with a 7-5 record.

So, basically a repeat of the bowl against Rutgers last year? A flat team that doesn't look interested in actually playing, sneak out a win against a team that you far out-class?

I could deal with it.

The offseason is long. I just want to see ND play one more time, regardless of interest/outcome. I hope the team does indeed man up.

I'm not sure there is going to be a post game thread or not, so I'll leave this here:

- Typical slow start under Kelly. Start the game off with two straight penalties (illegal formation followed by delay of game) putting them in a hole before Kelly went with his usual pass happy attack. Just sloppy football and a lack of execution. At what point does that fall on the shoulders of the man in charge?

- Didn't even try to establish the run today (even with an injured and turnover prone QB). USC didn't stack the box at all. Kelly's over reliance on Golson and his over inflated belief in himself as a playcaller have hindered the offense as a whole. Nice to see Bryant finally get out of his dog house today and actually utilized in the second half. Just ridiculous.

- Golson in all likelihood is done as a starter here. Just turns the ball over way too much for a guy in year 3 in the same offense. Kelly has not been able to get him to the level needed. Oh, and for all you excusing Kelly last year for the struggles on offense saying "well, if we would have had Golson we win x amount more games".....not only were you wrong, but you were way ****ing wrong!

- Same old story for the defense. Too many injuries and inexperience to overcome a sometimes explosive USC offense. The continual turnovers on offense compound matters.

- I'll echo what I said a couple weeks ago. I'm not a believer in Brian Kelly and think he is incredibly over rated, but do not think he should be fired even after this historic collapse. He get's next season to prove he is the elite guy most on here think he is. All the stars are aligned next season on every level and there are no more excuses. Get the job done or get the f**k out!!!

I love this post...

- Run the ball

- Run the ball

- Run the ball, please.

- Run the ball, keep them off the field

- Run the ball...but, if you want BK out...tell me who the guy is. Until then, stop with that.

Alright guy. We get it. You don't want ND playing after today.

I don't get it. There's no way you want today to be the last memory of the season.

In the bowl game, BK could take his shirt off, rub his nipples, eat a Popsicle, smoke crack, and cry for 60 minutes, and it wouldn't be nearly as embarrassing as what we saw today.

Oline...ok, but whenever there was a "critical" point where they needed to pass block they caved. Run blocking was ok. can't figure why the run game wasn't utilized more early, but then again, it was the keystone cops thing with penalties and pop warner execution on O, so it was out of hand fast...

Dline and backers...I cried. They wanted it, but just couldn't get it done.

Dbacks...I laughed. If you took DIII dbacks, and lined them up in a cluster 12 yards off the ball, and exploded them on the snap, they would have done better. Coverage was a joke and tackling only slightly better. This group has enough "star" power where pride and athleticism should have been enough to keep it respectable. It was a joke all day.

kicking game...punting was ok...kickoffs were good...field goals, yea, Ringling Brothers called...they want to take that act on the road so they can give the clown car a break...

QB...I knew EG was going to get picked over the middle because they were sailing on him today...He is fighting too hard to keep his eyes right, and because of that he sees NOTHING. He is gun shy from getting battered...he won't pull it down and run, and he holds the ball too long....EG is now a reclamation project. Malik came in and was decisive and reasonably effective, and best of all for Malik...he didn't have to suffer getting blasted from the back side multiple times...so he is good merchandise, for the time being.

WRs...more drops than a rain barrel...crap focus=crap execution, and in a couple specific cases crap effort. I am most disappointed in them...

Knew the game was going to be ugly when:
Hegarty rolled the ball to EG...

Another record setting day for the Irish.....

This one will have a two year echo in the form of recruiting...SMFH.

It's like the third time he has said it. It could go on all night like "wait till next year" did last week.
I agree with you. Get as many practices in as you can. Guys get swag. Go and have fun. The guys busted their butts and put thier bodies on the line for the last twelve weeks.

AM starts a true freshman QB who only has what, 4 games under his belt? Just putting that out there before the ND excuses pile on.

I would love to play PSU in a bowl. We could beat them handily even with our depleted defense.

I was napping.

Did we win?

What was the final score?

Was it another Epic Comeback or another Epic Fail?
