No, hell no...that is why I say hang it up for the year...

I mean yes, we can beat...oh sh!t, Jimmy's HS of the blind...but then we lose....

We just need to get a way, from everything football. These kids want to play a bowl game...then don't lose every game down the stretch. And that last loss...let's just get away...

I understand where you're coming from, but there were also a lot of changes made in this game that would make the extra practices and game reps worthwhile.

Malik at QB, Bryant getting carries behind Folston, Hunter getting more reps and McGlinchey at RT are all things that can be worked on with the extra time.

The defense might even be able to get some guys back and healthy for one more hurrah. Plus, keeping those guys that are nursing injuries around the complex can't be a bad thing.

Outsider and rare poster here. I stay away when ND's doing well cause I don't want to jinx you guys. Hate to see you folks tear yourselves apart. You had a lot of bad breaks this year, suspensions and injuries. Up until recently I thought the Irish played hard but then began to doubt themselves after the FSU game.

I've no dog in this hunt but I've always envied your storied program. All sports need a top dog to shoot at and you guys were it. This year I had a personal stake in your success because "Little J.D." as I call him or Jack Doran as you know him, played Little League with my son. He's now your mascot. I talked to his mother this morning and hoped you weren't blaming your recent run of bad luck on HIM!!!!

It's been a rough year... but you'll be back, you always come back and I for one hope it's next year.

Yeah, Malik...that is about it.

The defense needs any and everybody...still if healthy isn't that "great".

The RBs and McGl...should be routine by now.

Exactly, so why not take the extra time a bowl game offers to keep these things rolling now that they've begun?

I can't exactly explain it...just get away from anything that resembles a football field...

We'll take a bowl though...the one you and I took a sh!t in.

I think we, EG more than anybody, needs to just step away.

LOL u like Fowlers sleepy ass voice instead?

Gus is the man for me. Him/Charles Davis and Brad Nessler/Todd Blackledge are my top 2. Brady Quinn is also pretty good in the short time I've listened.

bluh. I hate Gus. I get so much shit for this but he drives me nuts. He works so hard to have memorable calls. Something that happens with him all the time is the QB launches one and he gets all excited to the point you expect to see a wide open WR streaking down the field only to see a covered guy being over thrown by 10 yards. His schtick works for basketball but pisses me off in football.

To say nothing of anyone else, you're really telling all of us that you think Palmer is better at analyzing football than Mike Mayock?

I'd rather listen to Palmer all day. I like David Pollack (or however you spell it) too.

Not at all. Palmer has been lights out and is very enjoyable to listen to IMO.

I think him and that FSU QB, fudge is his name? have been getting passed that "I went to this school" thing...and I think they've been good analyse

I like when Pollack calls games with Palmer because Pollack calls the game like a regular bro, and often makes Palmer get all whiney. It's good entertainment, if you can avoid feeling annoyed.

Pollack has a very down to earth approach, kind of like Mayock, which I like.
