Can't believe I forgot about him. I am a Danielson fan. He calls it like he sees it and keeps it simple while breaking down the game.
Dude is a Legend in broadcasting. Period. Sat night games feel like a noon B10 game without him. IMO

I'm a life long Sox fan and Ron Kittle's former next door neighbor but the thought of Hawk and Jesse Palmer calling a football game is more evil than The Exorcist on opening night.

Oh...I CANNOT stand Hawk Harrelson. My goodness how does he still have a job. Between him and the Marlins guys, some of the most biased announcers I have ever heard. I'm a Mets fan and get to enjoy their booth guys but you just can't beat Vin Scully.

That's the reason Hawk is great IMO. He doesn't pussy-foot and act impartial, he is outspoken and drunk all game.

Vin Scully is THE measure for all broadcasters. Dude is a legend. He has called Dodgers games since 1950 when they were still in Brooklyn

Madden was the single worst announcer in any sport ever... You could get the fuvker from the German trololololol video, but him in the booth, and it'd be better than fin madden...

I'll tell you what I'm disappointing in... no post game thread. I didn't get to watch the game, so was looking into people's opinion on what happened. Based on ISD tweets, it just seemed like this team quit. Is that the case? I can understand giving up 49, but don't understand only getting 14. And that 14 coming from a backup QB and 3rd string RB. What happened to the offense?

My insight is limited to the first half. It was, honest to God, the first ND game I've ever turned off, and there have been some real stinkers through the years. I can handle a loss, even a blowout, but it was absolutely unbearable to watch an uninterested team go through the motions, even when the issue was still slightly in doubt. I don't feel bad at all quitting on Saturday, because that's exactly what the players and coaches did.
It happened, and it's done. Refocus, win the GD bowl game, and salvage what's left in a whirlwind of a season.

Agree. Madden was good for 1 or 2 years, then everything he said was the same over and over. Never have cared for Mussberger. He seems to try to hard to make people think he's unique. He didn't use his little "looking live" intro when he first started.
I like Nessler and Blackledge as a team.

Yep they shut it down, and I really wonder about next year. If it were me and of course its not-- I'd skip the bowl game even if it does mean more practices.
