Showtime Sports' "A Season With" series is returning in September for its third installment, and this year the show will follow the Navy Midshipmen as they play out their 2017 season.

The series will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.

I'm surprised Showtime went with Navy, especially this early on in the series. I think it's deserved, given Navy's history on the college football landscape. I just expected them to go for the football factory type schools.

That was my initial thought as well but I think they are trying to capture the differences in CFB. They started in South Bend, went down to Tallahassee and now moving to Annapolis.

I'm actually more intrigued to see what it's like being enlisted and practicing for Saturdays than some other state U.

Just found the Navy game on ESPNN.

Navy and FAU both scored TDs.

Navy on a 39 yd pass RB wheel route. FAU answered with a 15 yd look-in where the Navy DB turned OUT. FAU receiver took it 35 yds after the catch for the TD.


The game's in another 30 minute Lightning Delay at 14:02 of the 4Q with Navy Leading 42-19.

It's 1:20 am and Navy and FAU are retaking the field after the 3rd Lightning Delay. Those hamstrings and quads have been stretched and restretched for more than 5 hours in this on again, off again game.

Navy just stuffed FAU's 2 point conversion. FAU went for an onside kick but Navy recovered on FAU's 45 and got a bonus 5 yds on a FAU offsides.
