Good Grief, Charlie Brown! Maybe it's time to hand over my Grammar Hammer to someone younger and crustier. I've grown soft.

I let my personal "AutoCorrect" kick in. I view it as situational. While I prefer "an ND" over "a ND," I make a mental adjustment. If someone uses "a ND ..." I think "a Notre Dame." " An ND ..." mentally translates to "En Dee."

I'm more flexible than many think.

The bigger question, "Is she"?

Raise your hand if you remember this MASH reference:

Hawkeye: "I would like an harmonica."

Hawkeye: "I would like an harmonica."

Wait...it is "a harmonica" is it not? I thought the trick with "H" is to use "a" if the first sound is a consonant sound, and "an" if the first sound is a vowel.

a harmonica
an honor
a helmet
an herb garden
a historical date (It's not "an" no matter how often the uneducated say it)
an hour
a hotel
an heir

Since Alford formed such good relationships with his recruits, does anyone know who his targets were that we will now be competing against with Ohio State? (There should be a non-compete clause for one year.)

Any or all of these?

You are correct...that is why it was a joke on MASH. Hawkeye was pretending to be Charles and was trying to sound erudite and went too far in his grammar

PS: you messed up on poor Herb's garden...Herb is a guy and has a strong H

Hand raised. I loved that show, especially the first three seasons.

After Wayne Rogers left it lost something. Still pretty good until about the last 3-4 seasons when every episode was a political statement by Alan Alda and Mike Farrell.

Gary Burghoff was the only cast member that was also in the movie.

I agree. Also preferred Henry Blake (McLean Stevenson) to Sherman Potter (Harry Morgan). Those earlier episodes had an edge.

Oh...sorry, you mean this:

"Edgar McLean Stevenson, Jr., better known as McLean Stevenson, was an American actor most recognized for his role as Lt. Colonel Henry Blake on the TV series M*A*S*H.
Born: November 14, 1927, Normal, IL
Died: February 15, 1996, Los Angeles, CA"

I prefered Blake over Potter as well, but I thought they did a good job replacing Henry with Sherman. In his role Harry Morgan was more of a father figure instead of being oblivious and goofy like Blake. I think if they would have tried to replace Blake with another goofy leader it might have backfired. Like when Darrin was replaced with another Darrin on Bewitched.

The funny think about Stevenson was that he left MASH so he could expand his roles and career, but that backfired.

McLean was a great guy and funnier than you can imagine. I had the honor to play golf with him 2 or 3 times a week for years. It was hard to concentrate due to the fact he always had me crying with laughter. He could chuck a club farther than Rory did last week, than a minute later he would be telling a joke. When he was in his 60's he had a child with his second wife. When my wife was pregnant with our first child he asked me if I wanted a boy or a girl. I said a boy so I could teach him baseball and golf. He said, "are you crazy?" "Having a little girl is fantastic, on a hot, smoggy day would you rather be on a dusty baseball diamond or a air conditioned ballet studio?" As fate would have it we had two girls. I still spent time on hot, dusty diamonds because our girls were athletes. Anyway, he was one of a kind, a sweetheart of a guy and truly hilarious.

Without a doubt best chain sub restaurant going-turkey swiss Mike's way my personal best.

Just opened one about a mile from my work across from Penn Station. Had the Steak & Cheese. Very good. On par with Penn Station's S&C.

Ohio State know has 3 RB commits for 2016.

Their composite rankings are:

Kareem Walker #10 overall #1 RB
Demario McCall #49 overall #3 RB
George Hill #53 overall #4 RB (who in fairness committed last summer)

My question is... what did they not like about Tavien Feaster #2 RB?

But seriously, I've never heard of such recruiting success. We should try to get their RBs coach.

But for real seriously, wow... very impressive Coach Alford.
