If so then it's not a great play call dude...

There is a QB and TE on the roster that can make that play, they just aren’t playing. It’s not a bad play call. It’s bad execution. It was literally wide open.

Take the win, move forward back to conventional football next week. This game is frustrating every year. Go Irish! Beat the trees.

You play call according to what your team can execute lucky... that's my point. If you know your QB is inaccurate and your TE has had the drops you don't save that for a potential game deciding play,

That play was similar in execution to the Mack pass. In both cases, there was a man bearing down on the passer forcing the throw. Trumbetti beat his block. The Navy tackler that hit Wimbush was unblocked.

I hate games like this. I effing hate them. We escape with a W. In the grand scheme of things who cares (no disrespect to the seniors leaving ND stadium as winners) but in terms of respect by the media and what not they have all the ammunition they need to talk their normal shit. Now we have to worry for a week going into Stanford and even if we win this game do we have a chance when we inevitably get matched up with OSU, Auburn, Clemson, etc in an NY6 game.

Not to be typical I’m happy with a win I can go to the movies tonight happy! But seriously have to wonder wtf has happened to this squad. One month ago we were dominating teams like this then from a not as dominant win against wake, humiliation at the hands of Miami, and barely avoiding the upset agian Navy I gotta wonder what has happened to this squad thatbwouldve one month ago DESTOEYED a team like navy.

Personnel issue not a play calling issue. It was obviously a great play call as it was WIDE OPEN. We have the wrong personnel in there to execute it. Different problem with the team right now. Quite frankly we have quite a few players that are playing, that probably shouldn’t be or at least should be giving up snaps.

I was referencing the Mack pass... not sure what play you're talking about.....

Coaching has sucked. Long is lost in a forest somewhere.

The whole point originally was coaching over players... glad you finally agree.

Halfway through the fourth quarter I realized what watching Navy play reminds me of:

Sitting in Chicago traffic.
It just saps the life out of you.

Two completely different coaching issues tho. I responded to posts about the playcall, which was a good one.

Dude seriously, we call a play with two guys you admit shouldn't have been used in that play call.. you called it a good play call... if the personnel isn't good for the call then it isn't a good call... know football.
