lol, Nashville had a historic run though, they did a huge service to the NHL. Hope they can keep that core together and make more deep runs in the coming years. I have said it before, I really like Subban, wish he played for Pittsburgh or LA/Ana so I could watch him more often.

Hossa is out for the entire upcoming season with a skin disorder caused by an allergic reaction to his equipment, and possibly career is over. WEIRD.....or A HOAX


He is due "only" $1 million this season after collecting a massive amount of money through his front loaded contract. If he retires, Hawks take a huge cap hit, if he "can't play," that hit becomes measley.

Losing Hossa sucks balls. Even though he's not the same player he use to be he's just a guy that the hawks need. Can trust him in big games and he seems to always rise to the acquisition. Losing him in the locker room sucks even more. Even though the Hawks have some really nice young pieces I hate this for Hossa and to see him go out like this.

I’m pretty stumped by the media’s perception of the Blues. Seeing a lot of 5th or 6th in the Central predictions.

I understand the Predators hype.

I don’t understand the Stars hype. Yes they added a goalie (who should be improvement but I don’t expect All Star Ben Bishop to absolutely resurface) and Hitchcock but I have doubts over the meshing of the Stars personnel with Hitchcock’s style. Especially considering how he meshed with Blues players that didn’t fit his style.

Wild - This team got worse to me.

Blackhawks - I would expect a similar season to last year. Relying on chemistry versus improving the actual talent of the team doesn’t scare me.

And then you have the Blues. Greatly improved under Yeo. Added Schenn and essentially Sobotka. Young D group should be even better. Not saying they are world beaters but this team on paper improved from the end of last year. I expect the finish 2nd or 3rd of the Central.

Yeah I think 2nd or 3rd is right, but I can see 1st also. It's a tough division to gauge though. The Predators got hot at the right time, and Pekka Rinne played above how he had the past few years.
