I still play basketball semi-regularly and the Curry line from UA actually features some solid shoes, in terms of looks, support, and durability. They’ll never be Nike—but that specific line actually holds up pretty well.
IMO, the Curry has gotten worse aesthetically with every iteration. My big pet peeve w/ any shoe is fake leather (plastic). If a company is going to demand over $100 for a pair of shoes that’s made is Asia for pennies, then I want genuine leather. I grew up in the 70s/80s and remember the first pair of canvas Nikes & then my first pair of leather Nikes (Cortez). Hell, my best friend’s mom would actually polish her son’s leather Nikes so he’d wear them longer.

To each their own, but I think the Curry 10s fit nicely and are 🔥 aesthetically.

I'm hyper-critical of hoops shoes but Curry lows 8, 9 & 10 are all nice shoes. As was the white/gold 1's and the 4's.

They are right there with Kobe 6's.

None are as good as Nike Vapor tennis shoes... best basketball shoe ever made.

I got the Curry 8's and 9's. I love the traction on them. The support is average though. And I agree, I always get compliments on the shoes when I go to the rec center for their appearance.

The two best shoes IMO right now:

1) Jordan 36 lows
2) LeBron 20s

Currys are after that only because after a couple hours I start feeling it in the lower back. Turning 30 this week so I know its more of a me problem than shoe problem lol.

Doesn't look right at all. I don't think even shrinking the logo would make this look good. It's missing something, and the logo just looks...off.
It's a basketball player on one of the most classic and iconic football jerseys of all time. Of course it looks off.

Nike is boring and basic but fine if we have to I guess. Jordan Brand would be a huge miss.

Maybe put a football in his hands instead of a basketball.Otherwise it looks weird.

Everyone wants to dump UA whether it's becuz of personal preference or the best reason, JB/Nike is better for recruiting but if you are a UA hater and say all of their products suck, you never bought the Sonic 3 team shoes. They are the most comfortable everyday kicks I've ever owned and they are beautiful in white or green. And I was a sneakerhead/shoehoe before all you were born... except #1 of course. No one is older than him.

I have both and then also another black pair. I find I only wear my green shoes for ugly Christmas sweater events and ND home games. They have bluetooth to pair with UAs running app and I love it.

If adidas brings back those sweet shiny track suits I may be on that train. I’ll be back in my Run DMC days with a pair of shell tops

Lotto? What are you…a cheerleader! LOL

My sister had a pair of those back in the day. I can’t recall how many colors of the Velcro logo it came with

Jordan Brand football jerseys with last names on the back would cause a high level of strokes and cardiac arrests among the fan base.

Is it accurate that a deal is almost done? My goodness, it’ll be a bad look if ND goes back with UA. The ISD guys regularly mention that Swarbrick’s son works for UA.

I suspect they're going to stay with Under Armour.
Can they? From what I've heard, the stocks are atrocious, which is tied to the current deal. I know Swarbrick has a son that works there, but is he the only one making the decision? It might be hard to convince a board that UA is the best bet when getting ND originally didn't help the stocks.

I think the opposite. In order to get the original deal done, UA had to offer up the biggest sponsorship contract in college sports, which included the ability to take compensation in stock. Swarbrick was quoted in one article as saying:

"We don't believe we're partnering with a $2 billion company," Swarbrick said. "We're partnering with a $20 billion company."

(UA's market cap is now around $3 billion.)

The partnership didn't pan out if ND was looking to get in on some growth. UA has since pulled back its presence in college sports.

I just don't think ND is interested any longer in any kind of special relationship with UA or that UA has the will/capability to make the top offer.

I think it happens because all signs point to it not happening. The Swarbrick connection weighs heavily on my mind and the fact that he's already one foot out the door.
