I use UA shoes for cross training and depending the model, they have been very comfortable with no issues on wearing out early. I’ve also had good success with Reebok for trainers. Not a fan of Nike as for me, they tend to run a bit too narrow and don’t have as much arch support. However, I do think it’s somewhat hit or miss for many of the athletic shoe brands to find the specific model(s) that match up well for support, fit, cushioning, flexibility, etc.

I have been investing in a lot of Reebok for workout related shoes (gym/running). They have done well in that market.

I’ve been buying Brooks running shoes for several years now and have always been happy with their comfort and durability. Not that that is relevant to the thread topic since they won’t be supplying college athletics apparel, but I digress 😁

I don’t care so much about the payor as I do about the payee. ND has a huge opportunity here to do something for the student athletes. If they were smart they would be finding a way to turn it into millions of dollars of revenue for the people who are essentially the walking billboards here.

I'd be down for Nike putting the chevron & star on their products and making ND the only program that wears Converse

I could see lineman wearing high top Weapon cleats... I see a TON of kids wearing them on the street.

Besides that, just rebrand the Vapor cleats with the chevron/star.

Just enter into a partnership with On Cloud and be done with it. At the very least, the footwear will fit in with most of the SEC states.

Ha. Are they any good? I’ve heard they fall apart within a year or so, but are very comfortable. Everyone and their brother wears them in the south.
Maybe. I wear shoes for maybe 4-5 months before they become my mowing/yard work shoes.

I have 2 pair. They’ve been great.

Yes, Brooks are the best out there. Asics & New Balance make some really good ones too. But the Brooks Adrenaline is the best shoe available for support for running.

I was given a pair and thought they were the most overrated shoe I’ve ever owned.
They have bombed with the tri-athletes & military.
Mine didn’t last 30 days.

Everyone wants to dump UA whether it's becuz of personal preference or the best reason, JB/Nike is better for recruiting but if you are a UA hater and say all of their products suck, you never bought the Sonic 3 team shoes. They are the most comfortable everyday kicks I've ever owned and they are beautiful in white or green. And I was a sneakerhead/shoehoe before all you were born... except #1 of course. No one is older than him.

I didn’t even see this…LOL

They are crap & fall apart like you said.

I wore them for a month training for a race and they didn’t last the 30 days.

People wear them to look cool, but nobody who trains wears them.

I’ve heard that they fall apart. Brooks are solid. Dependable. Newtons are my favorite running shoes though.

Adidas would be better for the players but worse fan apparel
UA worse for the players but better for fan apparel
Nike better for the players and better for the fans maybe?

I bought a pair and thought they were well below par for a training shoe.

I still play basketball semi-regularly and the Curry line from UA actually features some solid shoes, in terms of looks, support, and durability. They’ll never be Nike—but that specific line actually holds up pretty well.

Had a pair of these back in the 70's

Yeah, just look at Michigan’s jersey for the size and placement. At an initial glance, it does look…odd, but you’d get used to it/hardly notice it after one game.
