Why does every clever guy on here try to out clever the other with another brand to consider that is ridiculous? That shit was played out by the 2nd iteration.

Maybe I'll add a poll to see where everyone is leaning regarding brands.

Tell me you wouldn't like seeing ND rockin' Abercrombie and Fitch gear!

Why?
Seriously, the world is more interesting with variety, and Notre Dame can pull off being different. It's kind of our thing.

This is a couple years old but breaks down who wears what. Yes Nike/Jordan is the big winner but Wisconsin and South Carolina are also UnderArmour. A&M, Washington and Arizona State, among others, wear adidas. And New Balance haters should check out the hip looks of Boston College.
I thought BC ditched New Balance for Adidas?

Would you rather us argue about 3 stars or indulge in the idea of ND rocking denim jerseys made by Levis?

Champion Brands peak revenue was $99.4M in 2022.

one is not like the other....

NIKE revenue for the twelve months ending February 28, 2023 was $50.626B, a 8.13% increase year-over-year.

Champion makes sweatshirts. They don't make uniform apparel anymore, let alone f'n shoes. You old heads need to move on from the Champion/ glory days obsession.
In the words of 2pac
All these motherfuckers in the Bronx and Brooklyn
And Staten Island, Queens, and all the motherfuckers
That laid it down, the foundation, ya know what I'm sayin'?
Nothin' but love for the old school
Even if we went Jordan Brand.

The champion jersey look would be sweet.

I’ve noticed this too on forums all over the internet, regardless of subject matter. Also noticed that people who use Latin phrases as their handle typically lack a sense of humor.

I’m not a big fan of clogging up a live recruiting thread with analysis of various Indianapolis pizza joints, but shitposting about never-gonna-happen apparel partner fantasies in the apparel partner thread seems like a fine way to help pass the off-season to me.

Count me in on Andy Staples’s ides of lulu lemon for apparel and allow the players to wear whatever cleats/shoes they want. That would be huge for basketball. A player like Kyle Hamilton could probably get a huge NIL payment to be sponsored by a different shoe company as well

on II podcast Prister and O'Malley reckoned ND ends up with a Nike deal but Sampson suggested they might stick with Under Armor due to the NIL opportunities for players

Did he gave any reason why the NIL opportunities won't be there if ND switches to Nike?

Nike has a million other schools and the owner is the #1 Oregon booster. They don't need to promise us NIL stuff. Under armour (or Adidas) would make ND priority #1.
