It's not about win or loss, necessarily. The atmosphere is going to be incredible. A bunch of drunk Irish fans, screaming their lungs out at night time vs. the hated, USC... It's going to be unbelievable. Win or lose, the recruits are going to realize how special ND nation is. Just imagine all of the pre-game celebrations that will be going on before the game even starts. Once they kick off, there won't be a person in that 80,000+ stadium that won't want to ink up with the blue and gold.
Go Irish!
Have you ever been to a game at ND stadium? Not attacking, just asking. About 1/8 of the stadium (the student section) is even paying attention. Those kids cheer their asses off while blue hair momma and pappy are asleep in their seats by 12 minutes left in the first quarter. Those still awake are getting yelled at for standing up and cheering.
Something has to change within in the walls of ND stadium... Unfortunately, I think to a certain degree, tradition and lack of change (no field turf, no jumbotron, no loud music....yada yada yada) feed into the blue hair mentality. This is 2011... Time to liven things up. Throw out the people who were confirmed dead 15 years ago....stick them in a box (not a coffin...) and let them watch from there. ND Stadium should be a place that is feared to play in....not a place where you get thrown out of for standing up and cheering your team.
