I would like to thank Coach Weis, and tell him that even though it didn't work out, I still think of him as a stellar recruiter for the University. I wish him well in his future endeavors, and wish his family well. He left the program in pretty good shape for the next coach. Not all coaches turn out, especially here.

The man took over a Notre Dame program that no one wanted and put some life back into it. Because of him, the ND football head coaching job is desirable again and we were able to get a guy that will hopefully take us to the next level. The program was on the brink of disaster after Ty and Weis showed that you can recruit and win at ND (he just didn't do it enough over the course of his tenure).

I also think he showed class when he called up some recruits and convinced them to stay solid in their commitment to ND. I wish him nothing but the best at his new job.
