No, but having a former IMG staff member isn't going to hurt. At least the coaches will trust the S&C program that the kids are going into

keep in mind...lot of HS coaches especially at the TOP FOOTBALL high schools cant stand IMG. IMG basically poaches the whole country for the best athletes/players that they can get....so we actually don't want to be associated with IMG in a really big way-could hurt us at all the other big time HS football schools/coaching fraternities. those ties run real deep.

These ratings are subjective as hell but we'd be kidding ourselves in thinking that ND's facilities are on par with most other big time programs. ND probably figures they can get away with average facilities because ND isn't a "football factory" like OSU and Bama and attracts a different type of kid.

Totally get that. ISD had the information for about a week, and chose to sit on for exactly this reason. They were specifically asked not to until it was official. I wasn't even allowed to hint at it.

However, in a sense, signed up just to post this information with the intent of having it leak, right? So isn't that what he asked you not to do? I might've missed something or misunderstood, because I just got back from the field and read through the thread quickly.

I'm not sure it's being overplayed, considering we're also allegedly having practice down there. We're clearly investing in the relationship between IMG and Notre Dame.

Serious question. You think by hiring the SnC from IMG of 2 years, who has no other ties down there, is them (ND) just trying to put a foot in the door and build relationships?

Not saying that ND isnt trying to make something happen there, I just dont necessarily believe DB would be the key to the Porsche.

Or am i misunderstood?
