It really is just all about offense at the moment. I hope Buchner, Austin, Styles all pan out.

Reggie bush like with speed and game breaking. Only player I can think of that's as explosive as Smith.

I think his route running sets him apart. He’s not always open just because of his speed. He has it all.. Even if he’s a little small

I also think the fact that Bama has such a good OL allows for the threat of both the run game (along with a great back) as well as giving Jones the time to see the entire field if teams are focusing just on Smith. Jones isn't TL, but his vision and recognition is good enough to allow all of those other things to shine through.

Bama is putting it on Ohio State. Of the playoff teams to play Bama, ND has the best performance on defense.

So when do we get our participation trophy? We didn't win and playing them well doesn't count as a win. On to next season!

This is brutal. I almost feel bad for OSU. I'll admit that I didn't see this coming, but I'll certainly take it, though.

You know, people have made a habit of being jerks on the Internet.

I don't give a crap about participation trophies. It was simply an observation of performance, for which we can learn a lot. E.g., defense isn't really the problem and it is encouraging that our recent DC hire is coming into a good situation.

It means we are not that far away, and we are a couple of offensive skill positions improvements (QB primarily) from being competitive with the best.

With our recent WR, RB, and QB recruits (Buchner), I think we are well positioned in 2 years from now.

My post was an observation of your observation. We always been not that far away and when it comes time for the big game we forget to show up. I am glad you are optimistic about Buchner showing up but I will wait and see what happens. BK has yet to develop a QB into a Heisman trophy candidate and that is what we need to win the big one.

A couple of other dominant WR’s Dez Bryant and Charles Rodgers Michigan State. Marvin Harrison Syracuse. Instill stand by Randy Moss #1 and Devonta Smith #2 in college though

I'm 0% surprised with what Bama's offense is doing to them, although it really is a shame that Devonta Smith has been out the entire second half. I saw Indiana light up this team and it was clear that Clemson's failures were strictly coaching... and not that surprising considering that they were missing their OC for the game.

I am surprised that Ohio State's offense has been this mediocre given how much NFL talent they have.

Regardless, I picked Ohio State to lose by at least three scores and it looks like that's what we'll get with the inevitable late TD here.
