Remember that NC State podcast where the fans dug into ND fans and predicted State to win? Anyone know if they have they made one since Saturday?

Lol do you have a link to this? I want to listen.

Lucky said the QB thought he had a free play presumably explaining why he threw the ball into coverage (not worried about the result). My question is why did the O Line hold their stance? Did they too think ND jumped? I’ve seen hundreds of plays where the entire offense feels they have a free play and they don’t leave the QB on an island rather they try and make a big play.

Some NFL teams are coached to do it. The OL staying in their stances emphasizes the DL being offsides.

The Bengals used to do it, before transitioning to the strategy where the center quickly snaps the ball and the QB immediately kneels, before the defender can get back over the neutral zone.

Josh Adams should be in consideration for the Doak Walker award and maybe the Heisman. Dude is a man amongst boys. I am disappointed that Sam Mustipher does not get the accolades that Mike McGlinchey and Quentin Nelson get, Mustipher is legit. Chase Claypool has a mauling lineman's mindset in a receiver's body. Te'Von Coney and Julian Love both rock! Oh, and Newsome has to be one of the worst punters in the country but that is the only negative I can think of.

And we are now #5 in the AP polls.

Well done, boys!

GO IRISH!

Without reading this whole thread, has anyone commented on NC State Coaches' post game interview?

He sounds and looked like a Tard to me ...

Had more excuses than Hillary ... almost ...

Didn’t really bother me. What did you want him to say? “Our team got absolutely manhandled by Notre Dame”. Better for him to send the message tho his guys that they could have been right there with us if not for some bad calls or injuries. Hopefully they come out this week and take it out on Clemson.

Watch the video highlights on the front page, and pay attention to the pick 6 at the 2:10 mark. The O line never moved after the center snapped the ball. The QB got flushed and threw a pass he should've just thrown away. I heard that prior to that series, the O Line coach heard the QB complaining that he wasn't getting protection and told the O line to let the QB basically fend for himself (not thinking he'd be dumb enough to throw into coverage like he did) to see what a lack of protection really looks like. Not sure if true, but watch the clip and listen to Tirico talk about the line not moving. Classic.

I would find that very hard to believe. It's not unusual for players to complain in the heat of the battle. Doing something like that is a quick way to divide your team. It could also cost the o-line coach his job. Just a simple mis-read on offsides by the center.

Especially if the little prank cost your team its QB for the rest of the year to an injury.

Dont know much about that NCS QB except for throwing no INTs all year before this. Announcers talked like he was pro material. But if the guy has an ego problem with his line, that isnt good.

The snap was done on the movement of Tillery. It was prior to what the snap count should have been. The O-line didn't move 'cause they all "knew" ND was off sides. Oooops.

Lmfao at calling Tyler one of the worst in the country.... Where, exactly, has he been awful? A couple punts last Saturday... And?...
(ps, Kelly admitted the long snapper botched the block, nothing on Tyler or Drue)

That convoy on the INT was just so beautiful. Love with his hand on Daelin's back, Daelin waiting patiently to spring the block instead of breaking off... nearly brought a tear to my eye.

And the moment between Lea and Coney? (1) That's tremendous video editing... they're clearly messing with us with the practice vids in the spring and summer, because their Icon edits are amazing. (2) That's tremendous coaching on an individual level. I'd bet a shitload of money that BVG never connected with anyone like that (except maybe Joe Schmidt).

New NC State excuse : posters are complaining about the band being mic’d and playing right up to the ball being snapped. Might be illegal I don’t know but pretty certain it didn’t cause a 300-50 rushing yard discrepancy.

As BK said in the ICON video "...AND SOMETHING GAVE!"

NC State gave excuses and ND gave bone crushing results.

Question...I read several times about NCS talking smack for motivation. Was that players or just the fans?

Players absolutely. Samuels was talking a lot of shit all game long. I think their fans were really overconfident, and while they maybe didn't talk smack directly to ND fans (that I know of, I wasn't at the game) if you look on any of their message boards or their SBNation site, it's clear. Even better to go back and look at how butt hurt they all were after the game.

Red & White Podcast | We Make an NC State Podcast

Looks like they haven't made a new episode

I highly recommend listening to the first ~15 minutes of their pregame podcast if you enjoy schadenfreude.

They "highlight" some ND message board posts where ND fans predicted a win based on being better than NC State, and lambasted those posts... and those posts end up coming absolutely 100% true haha.

They also clearly invent a bunch of bullshit about how awful the collective ND fans were at the game last year... ND fans are pretty well lauded all over the country for being good sports when they attend away games.

I can't wait for their next podcast. They will likely ignore all of the shit they were wrong about, and will instead echo Doeren in blaming the refs. They will also probably talk about how it was more about NC State getting exposed, and less about ND being good.

NC State is just a pathetic bunch of whiners who, nationally, are nothing compared to Duke and UNC as a sports fan base.

There does seem to be a certain homogeneity to the forum as of late. A kinder, gentler Irish Envy if you will.

How many points did ACamp have NCS winning by?

Cheers!

Are any of us famous?

EDIT: Lol @ these guys. "Notre Dame fans have a sense of entitlement when they haven't been relevant in awhile." Has NC State ever been relevant in ever?
