Can we get this kid an offer!?

Only a freshman, middle linebacker on the 2A State Champions.

Has offers from Clemson, UNC, and NC State.

WOW...the part of this I crack up at....he could be just as easily on the field with other 15 y/o kids...He is a handful for HS kids.

I watched the film and kept seeing little things to pick at...then I had to remind myself he's 15...WHAT!?!?! Beast.

Think they'd let us borrow him for the Navy and GAtech games???

With the Gorman pipeline we are establishing, we need to get this kid an offer soon. He's class of 2017 but already has some offers and USC is sitting pretty.

Not concerned. If we want him, we'll get him. Simple as that. Get Sanford in the door and he's all ours. The benefit of that BG pipeline in full swing.

What do you mean by this? We have taken three kids from Gorman lately. Sure it's been a decent school for us but it is far from a pipeline.

I think we've already established that BG is a pipeline for ND. It's more than just those 3 though. We've realistically been the outright frontrunner for practically every major recruit to come out of BG over the last few years. We know Stanley, Fertitta and Jones, but we were also in for Broadus and Nathan Starks. Starks was essentially a ND lock prior to him getting kicked out of school and Broadus would have been Irish too had ND wanted him, but ND wanted St. Brown more. The ND ties at Bishop Gorman also run through the coaching staff and faculty at the school. These kids have Notre Dame shoved down their throats.

See we didn't really recruit Brodaus, would have never been a fit at ND. There is a reason a ton of schools stopped recruiting him. UCLA wasn't even recruiting him at one time. Sure it's a nice thing to have but Ferritta was a lock to come here once offered and he pretty much helped us out a ton with Aliz'e Jones. Ronnie Stanley was a great recruiting win, no doubt Gorman and Notre Dame value the same things. I do believe it's Notre Dame friendly but it's not a pipeline. Both this guy and Tate Martell are leaning towards USC.

Miami has 19 commits for 2016 and ALL of them are from Florida. Crazy. Average rating of .884 for the class which is solid. would be in the mid to late teens at the end of the cycle.

this is the same thing kentucky did last year, same w/ miami...the loaded up on recruits and good ones and then at the end of the year they had been leaving 1 by 1....happens every year...especially since golden seats is on fire

Yep, I think this could backfire big time. Its the "lock your spot up now" pitch and the kids are like why not.

guarantee this is golden trying to get the buzz again about the U...the problem is that when it actually matters during the season they see the actual product and look elsewhere.....miami coaches were regarded as some of the least developing of players from a scout who was at the combine...

remember people this is the same team that had 3 of the top running backs in the nation committed...where did that get them at the end...same as michigan last year prior to the season w/ all those 5*'s ...they NEVER END UP THERE at the end...

Miami has eighteen seniors. Their biggest loses will be at DT. They lose six of their ten DTs after this year with only one DT committed in the 2016 class so far. They play a 4-3 defense.

Didn't see any technique there at all... just brute strength. A year with Scott Cochrane and that kid's gonna be a beast.

That my well happen especially if Golden on the hot seat gathers steam. On the devil's advocate side, however, why not attribute this early success towards locking up local recruits with forming solid connections with the recruits and their coaches? Typically, the state of Florida has been divided into thirds.

Rather than Kentucky, how about Clemson, whose 2015 class of twenty-three commits, had nineteen committed before August?

How about TCU in another state that is divided among multiple schools whose class also focuses on three stars from Texas? TCU's class had twelve of their twenty-three from the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

We will have to wait and see....

that is exactly what i am saying...they have good connections w/ coaches because they are the local school so they grew up as fans but also have the longest established relationship...my comment was this is what always happens every year but the teams NEVER close at the end w/ them besides the old texas teams...

Agreed. I'd be so excited to have a DE/DT or is he an OT with that level of strength. He is already at upperclassmen, college-level strength and he doesn't look fat at all. He is going to be an animal in CFB.

It's like Tuitt on steroids. I hope he stays healthy because he'll be fun to watch.

So that's Oregon's plan now? Bring in a grad transfer every year?

Maybe so. They did well with Adams when he was healthy. Whitfield worked with Prukop and calls him potentially the most explosive QB in college (of course he would say that but anyway...). He is taller and bigger than Adams and appears to have a much bigger arm. Guess we will see.

Their defense has been lights out and will continue to be lights out provided nothing crazy happens. The head of the ACC for the forseeable future. I don't include ND in that as of now.
