The Iron Claw is one of the best movies of 2023 IMO.
I want to see it. I grew up watching the Von Erichs, Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Dusty Rhodes, etc. Those were the “razor blade” days of wrestling…LOL!

I wasn't aware of the Von Erichs so I have to think you'd appreciate it even more.

A must watch for Bill Murray’s best work is Rushmore. Brian Cox before he was a big shot. Quirky AF movie with great soundtrack. If you’re looking for another good soundtrack and Dark AF movie and possibly Jake Gyllenhals best work check out Donnie Darko. Big cult following.

Tragic story but that family ruled wrestling from the Metroplex. That’s when wrestling was regional but w/ cable you could still watch them all.

Here's a link to a slickdeals forum talking about some very good deals on various 10 film collections all priced at $19.99 from iTunes.

Of note is the 90's film collection containing Rudy in 4k with the Directors Cut. Best price I've seen on the stand alone product of Rudy in 4k with the Directors Cut is $12.99 from VUDU.

90's Film Collection includes:
  • A Few Good Men (1992)
  • A League of Their Own (1992)
  • Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
  • Boyz N the Hood (1991)
  • Donnie Brasco (1997)
  • Men in Black (1997)
  • Cliffhanger (1993)
  • Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
  • The Quick and the Dead (1995)
  • Rudy (1993)
All of the bolded titles are in 4k and all titles are Movie Anywhere compatible.

I’ve heard nothing but good things, I’m kicking myself because I was going to go see my first movie in theaters this year but I waited too long and it’s no longer playing in my area

I was reading a review and a guy called it more historically accurate than napoleon which I thought was funny
That is funny given Godzilla is fictional. Grew up with the original Godzilla movies, so I'll have to catch this one.

Evidently there will be a Joker (Batman) movie released this year that is going to be a musical.

Gladiator2 will also be coming out in 2024.

Bird Box (Netflix)

The Equalizer (Peacock)

I am going to watch the Equalizer 2 and 3 this weekend. I love the mindless action flick where I can just not think about plot or any kind of life lesson trying to be conveyed. Those John Wick movies were tremendous in that regard.

Denzel Washington running around Boston beating people up, most of them Russians and crooked cops. Sold.

And Italy in Equalizer 3. Watched it last night. Obviously not as good as the original, but still really good. Scenery is really nice, and I actually mean the real scenery.

Also watched Sound of Freedom. Tough watch, but very powerful, especially if you have daughter(s).

It’s a sequel to Joker with Joaquin Phoenix. Actually pretty excited for it. I’m glad they decided to try something new vs just rehashing what the first was.

Let my wife pick the movie last night since I gave her an amazing 2 minutes. Ended up watching the new Hunger Games movie. Not as enjoyable without Jennifer Lawerence to look at.
2 minutes?? You horse.
She could have started the flick when you began your conquest and been toweled off by the time the first scene began.

You didn't like The Joker movie? I think it was one of my favorites from the last decade.
Not really, but whether or not I like a particular movie isn't really the point. How many different Batman/Joker movies can we do? Does the Oscar winning historical epic where the main character dies at the end need a numbered sequel?

It's all just so hackneyed and try-hard. I don't know how else to describe it. Feels creatively bankrupt in a way that falls below my lowest expectations.

Just saw Equalizer 3. Not near as good as 1 or 2. I'm a huge Denzel fan but this movie was just ok for me. A few decent action scenes as expected.
