Is it because we lost to Cinci and others are seeing how they did in the playoffs against the eventual champs?

Hopefully Ok St. saw that and comes out cocky. We're certainly a better team than we were 3 months ago.

Ok St. forums seem pretty confidant. Feels like Iowa State in 2019, they think their defense will have their way with us. Honestly don't know what to expect given the change over, although the players seem to be fired up about it. Cowboys think we're overrated, old takes are old, etc.

Spread move makes no sense and I know they always do. At least someone with money decided we are going to lose

only news yesterday was we don’t have Covid and they might and cam hart doesn’t have a hamstring injury. So that ain’t it
So wtf?

ND’s OL vs Ok St’s DL seems to be a popular topic. When I’m reality, Ok St’s OL vs our DL is a bigger mismatch.

I think some of us have forgotten how bad the offense has looked against good defenses. And now we don't have KW or Avery Davis. And we're starting two true freshman at tackles, against the best pass rush in the country. One of which is coming off a multi month injury and hasn't seen live speed since the first half of the first game.

Honestly the confidence around here and in ND media was the confusing part to me. Hope I'm wrong big time, and I get to own it.

The difference is their QB can run away from it. I would feel 100% different about this game with a semi-mobile QB.

From what I’ve read, he tends to take off up the middle.

I’m ready for this new chapter. LFG!

Fuck Michigan!

I think the confidence comes from “if not now, then when?”.

This isn’t like the past NY6 games. Notre Dame SHOULD win this game.

Yes. We're definitely favored in the trenches on defense, and given the OL's improvement and Fisher's return, we're underrated on that side of the ball as well.

If Baylor and ISU managed to contain Sanders, I'm sure we can too.

Agreed. Subject to your caveat about unknown bad news, I still think we'll win with at least a two possession lead.
I’m with you Whiskey

Line has moved back in ND’s direction. I see -1 on most books with some -1.5

ND is -1.5 right now on Fanduel

ND is -1 on DraftKings, BUT, in true DK fashion, they have their odds all fucked up.

ND -1 is -110, and ND ML is also -110.

*ND is now PK on DK. Im done trying to figure out what is going on. Put my bet on ND in, and its staying. Lets ride!!!!

I think we win pretty handily. Like others have said, we still hold the talent edge and it's still the Big 12.

Also, check out our talent advantage:

There is no excuse for us losing to the Cowboys.

Speaking of stars. The team with more 5* players are now 15-4-1 since 2015. I’ll be going with Georgia in the final.

DK has it at a PK and is running a 20% odds boost promo. Go get that money.

Thoughts on these???

O/U @ -45.5

Team points- 22.5 for each team.

FWIW, I track VegasInsider and ND has been sitting -1.5 (+\- .5) for a few days now across various Sin City books.

I wouldn’t consider it a major sharp or news break swing until OSU becomes an outright favorite. Fairly normal to swing a point or so up to kickoff without it being either of those things.

Now, putting aside the Irish shades, there’s plenty of reason to think OSU wins outright. But I’m not too worried about standard line fluctuations. We opened -1.5, got to -2.5 and now it’s -1 or PK on a couple sites.

ND has the overall talent edge, and the opponent doesn’t have their best coordinator. It all comes down to the ND offensive line. Barring whatever shifted the betting line being something terrible, I think ND wins this. The recruiting is far better than it has been for decades and the coaching and strength program are legit. Crossing my fingers.

I agree. My biggest worry is Coan behind that OL. I’m not used to seeing ND QBs take so many sacks and now they’re playing the nation’s leader in sacks. Something has to give.

I am worried as well, but having Fisher back with a line that has been set for the last half of the season I think we will do OK. Not great but it won’t be like the first half of the season.

Well, those sacks really accumulated early. Hopefully all the talk of improved O Line, offensive adjustments, quick release/tempo are real and not just a result of lesser competition. That’s really the question that dictates the game.

Tommy unleashed too. He is no longer tethered by supreme leaders input (think MMFF will let him do his thing today and just manage the defense and overall team morale)

Could be good or bad. We will see.

I hope they learned something against Cincinnati when they tried to counter the pass rush with max protect.

I’m really, really curious to see how much Buchner gets on the field. His legs can counter the pass rush and put some juice in the rushing attack but you can’t necessarily trust him to eat the ball when he needs to cut his losses.

I'm cautiously optimistic about today.... Very out of character for me. Not sure yet if that's good or bad. We'll know in about 4 hours.

IDK if I can remember being this excited for a game though in the last two decades.
