I wish it was like this in Georgia. The Dawgs fans I know think they will beat Bama and then absolutely destroy Notre Dame in the National Championship game. All I hear is how Notre Dame has no business playing in the Championship because ND really hasn't played anyone and whichever team wins the SEC is going to steamroll ND. Its starting to get old and it's not ever December yet.

Another Georgian on here, let me ask you (because many people who have never had to deal with UGA fans don't believe me) is there a fanbase in America with a bigger "legend in their own mind" complex than UGA? I'm tired of UGA homers. By the way I live in Flowery Branch so I'm not far from you.

I've been listening to this every day since Saturday haha. And the good news is I'm 99% going to be down there for the game. I 99% won't have a ticket haha but I'll be in Miami to party and hopefully watch the Irish reclaim the top.

Growing up in the south I've never run across a lot of ND fans relative to SEC fans, but this year I am seeing more ND fans...I wonder where they were when we were 3-9 under Weis or started 4-5 in Kelly's first year.

I think this phenomenon may actually be worse in areas where there are a lot of ND fans ... as many true ND fans as there are in any area, there are 10 times as many fair-weather ND fans. I live in Chicago, where you will always see ND gear pretty frequently, but lately I see it EVERYWHERE. There's definitely been an uptick in ND gear.

The main thing I've gotten living in SEC land is "Do you really think Notre Dame can beat a SEC team?" But it's asked in way like you would ask someone "Do you really believe in Santa Claus?" I had an UGA fan tell me that all they had to do was win the SEC because "it's like that one year we played Hawaii." I just smiled and said "I hope Mark Richt and the players think they're playing Hawaii too. They'll be in for a rude awakening then."

Georgia has a long way to go before they can talk trash about anything. Seriously? Bama has earned it, Georgia is like the 4th best team in the conference, when they are actually playing good. It wasn't that long ago that Richt was on the hot seat.

Oh I remember that and I laughed my @ss off for weeks about that. They thought for sure they were going to smoke Boise. But that's the thing with SEC fans and UGA fans especially, they collectively black out when they lose and only remember their wins. I've never seen such a cocky fanbase after a 28 point beat down of their team. Yet they believe they DESTROYED Florida and everyone else they've played. They just forget SCAR and exaggerate their close wins until you would think they beat Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida by a combined 120 points.

Let's do this, Bama. Cannot wait after watching them the past 4 hours, and frankly all year. Will be a great game by two teams that match up well. I feel more confident than not about our chances. Bama is most definitely beatable - not nearly as good as last year's edition.

I wanted this so bad! If anyone's gonna stop the SEC it's Notre Dame and it has to be vs Bama! Georgia played a great game but 350 rushing yards against is ridiculous. Now we know the opponent and its time to get to work! Love this!
