I think Brian Kelly is going to come out 5 wide hurry up offense to get golson some confidence. We all have seen how good golson can be when he is confident. I think we will see a little but of cinci/ cmu offense jan 7th

I would agree with you if this was his first game. If Golson doesn't have confidence right now then he sould not be playing on the 7th. They are 12-0, #1, and playing in the NCG. You don't anymore confidence than that

Why do you think Jackson was on Lee then? Because he's faster.

Well from watching the game last Saturday. Russel ran with Lee step for step when he picked it off. Jackson got beat off the line of scrimmage on the slant that was a touchdown and he got absolutely toasted on the 55 yard pass to the 1 yard line. I like Russel more against the fast ones

Good god! Just heard this on the ABC halftime show: "As we know, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame have a great defense, Alabama plays against great defenses every week in the SEC..."
It was the guy opposite Palmer, can't remember his name.

I hope we smash Alabama!

Saunders?

Russell is faster and the better athlete. Don't think of him as a frosh, kid can ball.

Well obviously he should have confidence, but mainly letting golson get into a rhythm and showing golson that he trusts him to carry his team against bama in a national title game. I think it would boost golson that much more. I definitely expect Brian Kelly to have a great offensive strategy against bama

Biggest myth in American sports is that having the letters SEC on your jersey means you play real competition every week... It's so glaringly false that it would actually be funny if EVERYONE and their mom didn't believe it.

I agree but I like Jackson's tackling better. And bama likes to throw those little screen passes to him and we gotta make that open field tackle. Honestly I'm confident with either one of them on him

Well Kelly has done a great job calling plays for the most part the past 3-4 games. So, I don;t expect anything different for this game

Not enough. We have Tuitt and Nix who are great, but IDK how we're going to keep up with their Oline.

That is a huge problem if you only have 5 dlinemen. On the other side of the ball Kelly will attack the safety in pass coverage

Stephon Tuitt is faster than Russel and Jackson, combined.

I think the break favors Brian Kelly and Golson. Golson is still certainly on his learning curve, and Brian Kelly is a spread guy so installation of new spread plays/formations is a must. Kelly is smart enough to know that the Irish would be able to line up and run right at Alabama. This isn't Boston College or Miami.

Savant will take him out of the ball game it will have to be somebody else

What position does Savant play? Niklas could be a big factor too

Edit: I see you edited it haha. That will be a tall task for Saban imo

No one has stopped Eiffert all year 1 on 1. No way in hell do I see 1 player shutting him down. He's just too big for a safety and too fast for a lb

Edit nvm didn't see your edit lol I was wondering who the hell savant was lol

Has 'Bama faced a true dual threat QB? Johnny Football is the only one i can think of off the top of my head.

Have you seen Bamas Oline? Did you watch tonight's game? They're an animal unlike any we've faced.

true but the d-line isn't the only thing playing the run. Shembo/Ishaq and the other linebackers will probably be playing run too

Ok, so Eifer get's covered tight and only makes a few plays, but guarantee one of them will be big. Still leaves Toma, Jones, Theo out of the backfield, Daniels, even Goodmen can cause some mismatches out there. Even if Eifert does get taken out of the game, still plenty of other pieces out there to move us down the field.
