Recorded SEC Media Days. His replacement, Hogan, is sharp.
Derek Mason?

There were lots of accusations that he lied to his players and then bolted (before the Sugar Bowl with an undefeated Cincy team). Gilyard was particularly vocal about it.
It seems pretty par for the course to me. Coaches do it a lot. Crappy, but it's the trend.

Hogan, Mason, whatever. Close enough. They both have two syllables in their last name and end in an 'n'.
I may be mistaken but doesn't Todd Graham set the bar for the most acrimonious exit? IIRC, he just texted his Pitt players while en route to his new gig at Arizona State. Perhaps someone can recall better than I can. Rich Rod's departure from West Virginia for Michigan was another ugly exit.

PSU sure got a winner with this scumbag. Can't believe that he contacted the victim in this case. Looks like things are wrapping up in this case and the perpetrators are facing justice.

Pitt and Penn State won’t resume their rivalry on the football field until September, but that didn't stop Panthers coach Pat Narduzzi from taking a subtle shot toward State College.
When asked Monday at his weekly news conference whether Pitt quarterback Nate Peterman’s accuracy this season has been a product of his play or the staff’s play calling, Narduzzi said it was a combination of both and added a little jab at the end.
“You could have a talented quarterback with a bad play-caller and make him look bad,” Narduzzi said. “You see that around the country, some closer than others.”
It’s not a stretch to say Narduzzi likely was referring to Nittany Lions coach James Franklin, offensive coordinator and play-caller John Donovan and quarterback Christian Hackenberg, who has struggled this season despite being projected as one of the top quarterbacks available in next year’s NFL draft.

"All I said was that every kid that we're recruiting is also being recruited by Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Notre Dame and that they don't have the same challenges that we have now," Franklin said. "Then, in a separate quote, I mentioned that right now we're (dealing) with negative recruiting. It was two separate quotes, though, over a 35-minute interview.
"I never said that any of those schools are the ones doing the negative recruiting against us. They're not. There is one other particular school, but I didn't name who that was."
What makes it tricky, they're not having to deal with some of the things we're dealing with and working through, which magnifies it. Those programs as well as others know that and use that against us. We have that conversation with every single prospect. We don't usually initiate it, but it's coming from somewhere.
