I wonder how many recruits are turned off by posters on this site saying they are turned on by good news.

Examples: it moved, aroused, etc.

You have got to believe recruits and their families read their profile or at least google themselves every now and then...

Not calling anyone in particular, but I would hate for any of us to cause a recruit to look elsewhere.

Thoughts and reactions are welcome.

I guess my initial reaction would be, shut up.

But having given it some thought, my initial reaction was confirmed.

I think this site is relatively clean compared to what I read elsewhere

I think it is nothing more than common jargon for being excited.

I blow it off unless it's purposefully flagrant.

And then I regulate.

My.

Reading.

So most of those who read this seem to believe it isn't a big deal which is fine, but it is my belief language is powerful. The effects of the negative tend to be more lasting than the positive. Thanks for the feedback.

luckyfc - I think most understand and appreciate your thoughts. "It moved" is our bar humor for being excited about good news, and it's about as rough as it gets without the mods stepping in. It stays funny because it isn't over used (here we go again LOL) and it is sort of the male ultimate respect.

IE is one of the best, clean sites around. Forgive our occasional chest thumping.

Thanks Wooly, I appreciate the humor. And I did not mean to close the door prematurely, but when BB TT GTIF NDinLA and some dude with a mullet avatar all agree on something, I will go out on a limb and say I am a quick learner. Anyways guys, thanks for the feedback. I'm sure I won't comment until someone makes the thread a third time.

Thanks tadman. I agree in general, and this is the only forum I go to.

Gentlemen,

"It" is a gender neutral pronoun. Pronouns require antecedents to indicate what they reference. The sentence in question contains no antecedent for "it" and therefore could mean any number of inanimate objects. For you all to suggest that "it" refers to male genitalia is quite shortsighted.

Hope my grammar lesson doesn't get everyone too flaccid.
