I am fairly certain RDU would sell his kids baby teeth if they could be turned for a profit.

Why you not offer market value if you are a real fan? The only person who would jump on my half price offer would be someone looking to flip the tickets on StubHub - leach move.

If you cared about the team's future you would never sell the tickets to Georgia fans. If a few hundred bucks is more important to you than the perception of the program and more importantly how the recruiting weekend played out then you just aren't a good fan. This is not the NFL where nothing a fan does matters big picture. College football is about recruiting.

Just as I gave a heads up on what was about to happen last week I will tell you what you can expect if you decide to see the Irish play in Athens-you will not have access to many tickets as those people will not let Notre Dame fans be of any significance at the game---if you cheer too loudly you will be treated harshly such as drinks thrown at you or even worse--- fighting. You may be bullied and more so if Notre Dame is winning or playing even up-this will be a trip you more than likely would not like unless you are fortunate enough to be in the part of the stadium that is subdued-problem is there is no place like that for these people on gameday. You will not be treated with kindness and you will be walking into a place where you are not welcomed. I live here I know what I am talking about and lastly was it really worth selling you tickets to a Ga fan when this will be what you can expect when you go there. Oh-I forgot----you wont even be going to Ga to see your team play on the road----my bad.

I'm going to make it to that game then. That's my kind of environment. First, I'll shame these fools(and ACamp) by drinking them under the table. Second, I'll kill them with kindness. Third, if they throw a beer at me I'll catch it, say thank you... and chug it. Probably steal their girlfriend while I'm at it.

Bring it on. The good thing about ND being a national fanbase...harder to stop the sale of tickets to us. Plenty of Irish faithful in the south I'm sure.

A group of 8 of us have already rented a house for the weekend and we have access to tickets so lol to your last comment.

Well they aren't going to need them anyway? Y'all sound like a bunch of crazy cat lady hoarders. That 1962 Readers Digest is a family heirloom!! I would never sell my broken shit at any cost! Meanwhile you neglect a real program right in front of your eyes. Good luck finding basketball gear at the bookstore. Used to think this site wasn't full of a bunch of delusional idealists.

I have gotten just as many positive as negative reps for being open, honest and realistic. Get on those folks that sold them to UGA fans at face for a favor. I don't care about your co-worker, or third cousin twice removed who is "really nice" - they represent the enemy and should pay full freight if they aren't wearing the right color. I went to an open marketplace to sell at full value, just as pathetic as the seller is the lack of buyers. Fact is the price was ridiculously high for what it was - two decent but not great teams coming off of mediocre to bad seasons. I am embarrassed for the buyers, not the sellers.

Tell you this much - of those 30,000 plus I bet more of them root for ND and watch our games going forward than they did previously. They will respect the place and if that is such a bad thing we should never book another premier brand again. A battle of perennially overrated brands. Exactly what the University wants - money drawing headline grabber instead of a winning product.

Some of you whine about the lamest of things. Who gives a fuck if someone wanted to make some money on their tickets?

If you weren't there, you don't know. Our fan base sold out. It's embarrassing and a slap in the face to the team.

Is this a thread if ND had won 20-19? I agree, it was pathetic, but I don't think it was as bad as the Nebraska Sea of Red game.

Hard to say what type of reaction a close win would have generated. A lot of us were vocal about it for Texas 2015 but that was a total beatdown so it didn't matter.

Not only was there a ton of red in the stadium, they were MUCH louder on TV. Pretty pathetic. Our guys deserve better. Why would any recruit go to ND when obviously the SEC has that much better of a fanbase.

I also don't get why people would risk a perma-ban from season tickets to "recoup costs". If you can't afford them otherwise, buy for single games or don't donate. Plans change? There are 1000s of ND fans that will take them for face.

Pretty f'ing embarrassing all the way around.

It's also borderline tax fraud. The "gift" portion of season tickets is tax-deductible. If you're going to claim that on your return, you should also be claiming as taxable income any amount you're getting for the tickets over face value on StubHub.

You act as if these tickets are all sold with a handshake? Many are - those are the face value line up tickets for a friend or colleague - aren't I so warm and fuzzy variety! Those people know upfront, for a fact that they sold to the enemy but its OK b/c they know them and didn't make any money or not very much right!

The demonized StubHubber sells them blindly. Vivid is not exclusive to ND fans - it is open to anyone. Welcome to reality folks. I was hoping to go, no takers so I am not traveling 800 miles alone and I will take the cash to parlay into a different fan experience I will be required to pay top dollar for. UNC will be a lot of fun and I am going to have good tickets that I will buy off of StubHub or Craigslist from a traitor Tarheel. Us traitors have to stick together you know.

Many reasons.

That said, that shit was embarrassing listening to the crowd cheer louder for a 3rd down conversion by Georgia than a 3rd down stop by Notre Dame.

I don't care if they hate us
I don't care if they respect us.
I don't care if you think that the ND ticket policy is unfair.
I don't care if you think that the ticket prices are too high.
I don't care if you lost money on previous tickets you had.

I do care that we gave away our home field advantage and that our home stadium had almost as many Georgia fans as Irish fans. The whole stub hub excuse of not knowing who the tickets were going to be bought by is stupid AF. You knew that their was a 90% chance those tickets were going to be bought by a Bulldog fan. Hey, I guess you got enough money to go out and buy a bitching new big screen TV. Sleep good.

Excuses

Having been at both games, I can tell you it was as bad as the Nebraska game or at least close. The entire Away corner was red from the first row to the last (Usually away teams just take up the upper bowl really), and it stayed pretty strong red with the Georgia numbers slowly tapering off towards the press box behind our home bench. From there on it was mostly blue through the student section, but the farther you got away from the student section the redder it got again. By the 50 yard line I was mostly surrounded by Georgia fans. Embarrassing.

It looked like a 50/50 split on tv like a neutral site game. However it didn't sound like that. It sounded like it was in Athens.

It's tough for me to tell since I was mostly surrounded by Dawgs, but they were certainly loud in our section. Can't say for sure if they were louder than our own fans. Our student section did their best. GA fans were certainly loud and celebrating while our Alma Mater was played, that stunk.

Well I'm happy to hear that you were at the game supporting the Irish or otherwise donating several hundred dollars to the football recruiting office. But seriously, if this is your argument, to be considered a fan we should take all the money we can and put it towards helping us recruit. Did you come in early for the pep rally? There were recruits there. Did you stand around for the player walk? There were recruits there. Did you go to the spring game? And the open practice? And everygame that might not sell out? It's a horrible argument that at best misplaces your priorities as a fan and at best ostracizes other potential fans.

The bigger problem is having fans that dont realize they should stfu when we are on offense. The number of times I've seen fans start yelling when we're on offense in ridiculous, especially when you consider the small number of times they are actually willing to yell. And I don't just mean this game or other games when we have a heavy enemy presence.

I have donated 1,000+ dollars to the University in the last 5 years and I am a relatively broke 29 year old.

The point is that someone could afford to buy tickets and chose not to go to the game. Someone else on the wait list or an alum or whatever that didnt win tickets in the lottery would otherwise have gone to the game. Folks like RDU Irish bought tickets with the purpose to make a profit, not to be a fan. I didn't buy tickets to the game because I could not afford to go. I didn't screw someone else out of the opportunity.

This is the whole point so many people are mad about. There were so many Notre Dame fans that wanted to go to the game that did not have tickets. The "fans" that sold their tickets on the secondary market could have easily sold their tickets to ND fans instead of Georgia fans but didn't care who they sold them to...it was all about making a profit. I wish there was a way for the University to strip them of future tickets. It was embarrassing.

Great stuff that you guys will be going-I wish I could do the same and will try to get in but my heads up should be noted I have been to Ga games and I have seen this with my own eyes. You will not be treated the same way you treated their fan base.

I didn't mean you GK it was meant for the ones who let their tickets go but watch your step in that environment when you go pull for the Irish.
