As I've mentioned on here before the family is long time season ticket holders (60+ years). This year ND offered option for us to transfer the tickets to another person at no cost. Traditionally you have to pay 10 years current donation fee upfront for transfer. with Donation fee of $1k per ticket and 4 season tickets, that would $40k up front to transfer tickets. Now we still would have to pay that (and probably more as fees are sure to rise over years) keeping the tickets for 10 years and paying the indidividual yearly donation fees, but escaped the up front costs (who has $40k to give away for season tickets, at least not my family).
The other cool thing ND is offering is chance to move your tickets. We have always been in section 21 (southwest corner) with a tiny view of whats left of TD Jesus. With the jumbo tron set to be immediately behind us we felt moving was worth it. We didn't want to have the jumbotron blaring in our ears all game and what use is it if its behind you? We have moved caddy corner to section 3. I am pretty pumped, closer to band and student section. The home team also warms up on the north end and in my opinion the better TD's/plays I have seen over my time as a season ticket holder have been on the north endzone (not that we havent had some sweet action in the south).
Lastly, ND is offering us the option of buying our old bench seats now that they have put new, wider, seating in. Should help the family get over the nostalgia of the seats were leaving behind.
All useless babble to the rest of you but thought id share.
