Jamie killing Cersei--his twin and former lover-- by strangulation (wrapping his hands, one of which is gold, around her pale neck) in to order to save the people of King's Landing yet again from a psychotic monarch determined to burn them all is the climax of his redemption arc.

Valonquar doesn't refer to Tyrion, Dany, Arya, or anyone else who just happens to have an older sibling. And if you disagree with this interpretation, I will fight you IRL.

I'm surprised you care so much

I'm on an internet message board about Notre Dame football, where we just had the "Fall Camp" introductory presser, and I'm talking about a show based on a book series that the author hasn't even finished yet.

I'd care if I noticed a leaf-cutter ant moving across a branch in a strange way in the background.

And then, when it seems that saving the land yet again will be his undoing, as UnGregor descends upon him to avenge his master's death, THE HOUND OF LIGHT SHALL EMERGE, AND CLEGANEBOWL SHALL COMMENCE.

I just don't see how this series can be wrapped up in a season and a half. Judging by the books and the first 6 seasons, it's gonna take at least another 4 seasons just to get Dany off that island.

The last episode managed to cram the fall of both Casterly Rock and High Garden into about 10 minutes, so they can clearly move the plot along when they want to.

i think someone (tormond, maybe the Hound and his new buds) will need to actually capture a white walker and show it to the important "non believers" in order for them to understand the true threat to the realm.

is this possible?

That's one theory, but from a time perspective, I would imagine they would need to do it very soon or not at all. Kinda tough with where everyone currently. Furthermore, Dani is already letting Jon mine dragonglass. So it might not be needed.

I think the mention of Dani taking the dragon to destroy Euron's fleet showed that she is willing to fly it long distances. So while they won't let her do that, I could see the show having her fly over the wall to see the walkers. Could make for quite the scene.

I didn't mean it that way. I meant it in more of a "I'm surprised you thought that was something that was immediately relevant because I didn't see it that way" way. No judgment on your time spending intended.

anyone else feel its kind of odd/BS/cheesy how Bran looking for Jon arrives first at the wall, (sorry Jon just left yesterday to go to winterfell) then he goes to winterfell looking for him (oh sorry jon just left yesterday to go to dragonstone).

for a guy that sees everything, he sure cant seem to get a line on jon snow.

also when Bran decides to stay and hang by the tree after talking to sansa I was thinking who is going to get him later when he finished his contemplation session?

I didn't mean it as if I were affronted, and I didn't take it that you were judging haha.

I meant it as more self-deprecating for the depths of my curiosity, and how it has manifested on our forum.

You are probably 100% right, and it was just a throw-away line to show that some characters have power and *know* things, but even they are aware that their role is secondary to what is unfolding around them.

I just got jacked up thinking there might be some great conspiracy where Mel represents R'hollor, and Varys represents the Other, and they have some large role in the final battle.

2) Jorah
3) Theon
4) Missandei
5) Bronn

Bronn is basically the #1 character I would be sad if they died.

1. Littlefinger

3. Missandei
4. Bronn
5. Cersei

LF is gonna get Arya'd. It is known.

One of Greyworm/Missandei is going down. No other reason for their love scene/goodbye.

Bronn will be the expendable component in a Lannister "loss," because they aren't offing Jaime when he hasn't killed Cersei yet.

Cersei is gonna bite the bullet in the final episode of the season. It's gonna happen with almost no warning. I can feel it in my bones.

My bet as well. Jamie does that. Euron also dies in the final episode to Drogon, who at that point is the last dragon. Sets up the white walkers to be the final villain.

Yeah I love him. I also love Jorah but he is guaranteed a goner at some point too.

I definitely can see that too. She is being featured way too prominently right now.

Pretty sure that is Arya moving towards Winterfell at the end of the episode 4 preview

When she learns that her family holds Winterfell again from Hot Pie at the Crossroads Inn, she starts heading north. But then she runs into her direwolf Nymeria, who takes off instead of coming with her. According to the after-episode commentary by Benioff and Weiss, that was supposed to show Arya that she can't really "go home" again. So I'm not sure where she's headed now.

Edit: And Sansa has to kill Littlefinger, not Arya.

All of Arya's promo images for the season showed her with the Valyrian Knife with the dragon bone hilt. Doesn't LF have that right now?

I would go quite different myself.

1) Tyene Sand - Duh
2) Ellaria Sand
3) Cersie - Near the end, as the White Walkers breach the wall. Making them the new Big Bad
4) Beric Dondarrion
5) Euron Greyjoy

I think the rest of this season is gonna be straight fire. With someone important dying in every episode moving forward.

What if they make Bronn and Greyworm fight each other? That would be the freaking worst.

SMH these morons at work are talking about the episode and how the first part where Jon and Dany were talking was so boring that they fell asleep. THAT WAS THE BEST PART YOU DUMMIES!

Ugh and now the one guy is asking how everyone thinks Jon is going to find out that the Mad King was his father.

In regards to Melisandre.. She actually says:

I’ve done my part. I’ve brought ice and fire together. . . . My time whispering in the ears of kings has come to an end. . . . Neither of us is common folk anymore. . . . Oh, I will return dear Spider. One last time. I have to die in this strange country, just like you.

Having to die and just coming back to die are 2 different things. Which means to me that she will die, more than likely, in the last season.

PS: The Reddit timelines are pretty much spot on for those into spoilery stuff.

How far out do they have spoilers for? I took a look at it before the first episode and they were dead on. That being said, I'm not sure that I want to lose the element of surprise for the show. If it wasn't so close to the end, maybe...
