I would go quite different myself.

1) Tyene Sand - Duh
2) Ellaria Sand
3) Cersie - Near the end, as the White Walkers breach the wall. Making them the new Big Bad
4) Beric Dondarrion
5) Euron Greyjoy

I think the rest of this season is gonna be straight fire. With someone important dying in every episode moving forward.

1) Littlefinger
2) Yara
3) The Iron Bank dude
4) Ed
5) One of the dragons

VARYS: So where will you go?

MELISANDRE: Volantis.

V: Good. If you don't mind my saying, I don't think you should return to Westeros. I'm not sure you'd be safe here.

M: Oh, I will return, dear Spider. One last time. I have to die in this strange country, just like you.

V: *Mind Blown* *Extremely Unsettled* *Nonexistent Balls Recede into Body*

WHAT DOES IT MEAN

I'm surprised you care so much about this because my honest take? Probably nothing. It simply implies that at some point in the future she will return to the continent and die there, and that she knows this. That doesn't mean it happens in this story or even this century. They've shown/hinted repeatedly that she is extremely old. I didn't take it as a "this is going to affect the story" moment. I took it more as:

Varys: You probably shouldn't return here because I hate fire sacrificers because of my castration and will kill you in the future if I get the opportunity. So leave the country and don't come back if you know whats good for you.

Melisandre: Oh I know how I die (because I'm mystical), and I know how you'll die too. So don't try to intimidate me because I'm infinitely more powerful than you. Anything you try I'm five steps ahead. So don't come at me bro. *mic drop*

Not a WHAT DOES IT MEAN moment. Just a little tit for tat argument between two passive aggressive characters IMO.

I'm not sure, but I could see it somewhere between you and Lion's thoughts. I can't think of any scene like that in the show that wasn't a prelude to an important scene down the road. So there's something to it, whether that is something vital to the story, I don't know.

That Vanity Fair piece is really interesting. I forgot all about this:

One of the most formative things that ever happened to poor Lord Varys was his traumatic castration at the hands of a magician from Myr. As he told Tyrion back in Season 3:

I still dream of that night. Not of the sorcerer, not of his blade—I dream of the voice from the flames. Was it a god, a demon, a conjurer’s trick? I don’t know. But the sorcerer called and a voice answered and ever since that day I have hated magic and all those who practice it.
Up until now, we didn’t know what the voice in the flame said to Varys. But we know the followers of R’hllor somehow do. Kinvara, the high-ranking red priestess who paid Tyrion and Varys a visit in Meereen last season, made it clear that the Spider’s voice-in-the-flames moment was known to her.

Do you remember what you heard that night when the sorcerer tossed your parts in the fire? You heard a voice call out from the flames, do you remember? Should I tell you what the voice said? Should I tell you the name of the one who spoke?
It stands to reason that Melisandre knows about this too, and the look of recognition Varys gives her as she drops a comment about their shared appointment with death could indicate that the Spider heard his own demise foretold by R’hllor (or whatever you want to call it) in the fire as a child.

If she's the same one who blogged for Vanity Fair about Westworld, that VF TV blogger is really good. I remember being really impressed with her stuff throughout Westworld's run.

SMH these morons at work are talking about the episode and how the first part where Jon and Dany were talking was so boring that they fell asleep. THAT WAS THE BEST PART YOU DUMMIES!

Ugh and now the one guy is asking how everyone thinks Jon is going to find out that the Mad King was his father.

Please report them to HR for creating a hostile work environment.

What's your opinion? Are you going to read it? Or do you want to just see it unfold?

I've read it. I don't care about unfolding a this point since they have strayed so far out of book territory. The payoff for me the impatience of waiting for the events to happen and then finally see it go down.

been debating whether to read it as i have had previous storylines spoiled for me ( i didnt get on the show until season 3 was already aired). i still enjoyed the show eventhough i knew what was about to go down.

Maybe by Theon? Theon serves no point in the show anymore. I think the only reason he gets airtime now is because he's going to kill somebody later. He doesn't get enough screen time or lines to kill one of the main characters, so my money is on him killing his uncle, and then being "redeemed" for all his pussy antics the last 2 seasons.

I think Theon has a redemption arc left in him. He wouldn't have been introduced as such a major character if he didn't have some purpose right?

Maybe he ends up alongside the Starks in season 8 when the Night's King is pwning noobs.

Just like in season 1 when the wildlings ambushed them in the woods, he'll save Bran's life... except this time, it will cost him his own.

There has to be some sort of redemption for him. Maybe this is it, but I can't see him just having some BS death after all of this.

My guess would be his death comes saving another characters life.

Yes, and I think his redemption arc is going to involve siding with the Starks against the Greyjoys in a decisive way. From the books:

And Robb. Robb who had been more a brother to Theon than any son born of Balon Greyjoy's loins. Murdered at the Red Wedding, butchered by the Freys. I should have been with him. Where was I? I should have died with him.

And from the show:

"My real father lost his head in King's Landing."

He's going to realize that the Starks are his real family, and redeem himself by helping them crush the Greyjoys somehow.

There were a whole bunch of really good "Bran" tweets from that episode:

SPOILER. Highlight below to read. Nothing crazy spoiler, as it's just from the trailer, but better safe than sorry.

So this week is gonna be radical according to the trailer for episode 4. Sansa returns to King Landing and we are getting a battle that is going to rival battle of the bastards. Looks like Dany sends the Dothraki and her dragon to intercept the Lannister army on their way back from Highgarden. Interesting also because they are returning with the gold to pay back the Iron Bank. Could be a tide turning moment. Get hype.

For fucks sake every character really does have a jetpack at this point. This shit never bothered me but at this point it's getting ridiculous. They've abandoned any idea of a rational timeline.
